I remember the first time I heard this track in 2017. A cyclone hit the town where I was living back then. With the sounds of thunder from the outside, idk how to describe it exactly, but this track made me smile even when there was intense thunderstorm and all the coconut trees falling.

That was the very first Kurzgesagt video I've seen. I remember being absolutely mesmerized by the sound: it felt like a subtle shift of perception, a different sense of scale. It somehow made all the troubles feel... less catastrophic, manageable.

This is without a doubt the greatest video and piece of music you guys have ever made. It was an honor to be around to see its release and grow to be one of the most viewed videos and the most listened to on Spotify (wow). Why are people saying that this is the best track? I can think of other great tracks too like rogue earth. Mind upload. Geoengineering. Biggest star. Black holes. Immune system 2. Moon crash. I think, to me, the music itself is tied to the emotion I felt watching the video. In absence of the video, there's probably objectively better tracks, but the music will always conjure what I felt watching Objective Nihilism the first (and subsequent) times, so it has higher emotional weighting. Just my opinion though, feel free to prefer any of their other tracks.
