It was 109° F. (43 °C) here all afternoon until six p.m. It's now 100° F. (38 °C) at nine p.m. I once had a folding rooftop tent with an aluminum floor that could get cold. I bought a cheap rolled-up dense-foam yoga mat, trimmed it to fit the fold, and glued it permanently in place. That solved the problem nicely. Have a great trip.
