wow - thank-you for explaining so much, so well - i'm literally just watching it and will go through it again to do everything, but hearing all the concepts re: why and how of things is the only way my mind processes and holds on to things. three things in particular to mention: you haven't tried to sell me anything, you DID tell me to get rid of "superfetch" (always wanted to but unsure), and you use this really strange phrase "i don't know..." Not knowing everything seems a rare trait in an instructional video; it lets me know there's something here i could learn about(nothing being hidden), and makes me trust the rest of the stuff your telling me is stuff you really do know pretty darn well. btw, i'm not a gamer but i use a lot of graphics programs: AutoCad, Sketchup and photoshop. I've heard that a "gaming computer" would be a good idea so i figured following this advice will at least get what i have already (not a gamer) working better and heading in that direction. Thanks tons!

Thank you for this post. I usually do pretty much all you've stated herein as regular practice, but there are a couple things I hadn't seen/or thought to do myself. Typically I find 2X a month more than sufficient to find the Updates and apply other 'PC Operator Maintenance' tasks. All in all, a very good video. Reading your post responses, suggests that many didn't listen to your 'Disclosure' statements... BTW, those not familiar with CC can really do a JOB on their systems and will not be able to use it if they 'go in 'blind'.. just sayin'... OTOH, anything anybody does to their system, they do it on their own and thus are personally liable for anything they did, themselves. Your recommendation the 'Black Viper' page comes up through Google Chrome as unable to connect, and through my IE: not permitted to view... further explanation states one needs a password to 'go there'.. was hoping to find something 'helpful'... :(

From what I've read, prefetch doesn't use extra memory all the time. It instead maintains a list of what gets loaded by particulater apps when they are run. Once it has made that list it tries to load those files into memory when that app is called so that while the app is busy doing its various operations (like decompressing data or checking the network), windows can keep the disk fully utilized with reading and have the files ready in memory for when the app gets around to asking for them. The only question I have is how long these files are retained in memory. If they are held in memory for the duration of the app running, I might want to disable it on a low memory system to keep a maximum amount of memory available to a game and hopefully minimize memory jutter.

Thanks for this great tutorial now my Pc starts up like it used to. I have 4 Questions 1. Do you know if you can script the profiles in MSI Afterburner or assign a profile to a program, game, etc. I mean, I have 3-4 profiles: 1. Default, Winter 2.Default Summer (Summer is known, so you need to turn on the fans: P) For programs and games profiles: 3.OC 4 OC SUMMER is known Summer so you have to turn up the fans And I would like e.g: If I am browsing the internet, watching a movie, etc., for the profile to load 1 If I run games, Adobe, etc., the OC profile is launched and after exiting the program, it returns to the profile 1-2 As for the rest of the profiles, this is the 2nd question: Is it possible to set in the charmonogram that from, for example: October to May there is profile 1 and from May to October there is Profile 2, but when starting the browser as above, adobe games will start in OC mode. 3. The same as above, but with profiles, eg in Bios, it's more about fans. As you know, the OC of the CPU adapts to the load, so the clocks fall in idle, etc. 4.Can this tutorial also apply to Win 10? I hope I didn't confuse too much: D

Use CCEnhancer to seriously boost the power of CCleaner cleaning abilities! Also their program SystemNinja cleans beyond CCleaner+CCEnhancer by checking for corrupt RecycleBin folders, etc and cleaning out sometimes Gigabytes of just lost crap stuck in those... crazy, but I've seen it happen on many systems. You might have several gigs just stuck!

Thanks for the turtorial.. sometimes when i change anything my computer actually feels even slower.. it's weird.. I don't get the power saving options.. Why do you need max power all the time and for nothing to shut off? It's not like people are gaming on their computers 24-7.. why wouldn't you want power to the processor and computer only when it's needed? Isn't that a waste of power and wear and tear for no reason if you're just searching the web or idle?

So I have a question about my cpu( I have an intel i7 870- which id quad core) at my resource monitor it shows 8 cpu's ( from 0-7) which I don't get.. Is it because the cpu has 8 Threads ? If so/not why is every other cpu marked as parked even after changing the regedit ? and why did the regedit only find 3 of the locations were I had to change the min and max values for the cpu's ?

at 23:50, The "Turn off windows write-cache buffer" thing is no joke. If you turn this off without a backup power running with your computer you are putting your computer at super risk. I've blown a hard drive this way because my house power just went off for a split second. So ether, leave it alone more make sure you have a backup powersupply running
