Hi Thank you for your videos. I’m looking for information on where to purchase a new nrv for my Optimus 111 ? The previous one was damaged while I was replacing a head gasket. Thanks for your time.

@Ian Brodie Try Base-Camp or The FettleBox in the UK. Or, try one of the S. Korean or Taiwanese suppliers on my stove part suppliers list here: www.berniedawg.com/stove-part-supplier-links/ Good luck on your project. BD

@PaulBearden-be1pe Thanks. But, to find tools, methods and parts sources you just need to look through my webpages and my other videos. I have a complete series on the 8R for instance that is in a playlist here: kzbin.info/aero/PL9Tg7BYD6fUJ4L9S6PipKE0-GOAlUVShb Tools and parts can be found through consulting my webpage here: www.berniedawg.com/stove-part-supplier-links/ Base-Camp in the UK is a great source for the correct and NOS original parts. Here’s a manual at my website for the 8R: www.berniedawg.com/optimus-8r-manual/ If all that doesn’t cut it for you and you need more individualized help, then I have an email address for that here: bd@berniedawg.com Most of these links and this information, and a whole lot more besides, is in the description boxes below my videos. Or, if you are too shy, you could signup with your annual fee at Classic Camp Stoves and maybe receive help (some of it correct) from the stove fans over there: classiccampstoves.com/ 👍😎 BD

@Yusuf Çelen This may be where my Google Translate fails. I translate "Keceyi nasil yapacagimizla alakali bi videoda cekerseniz çok sevinirim basarilar" as "I'm very happy if you shoot in a video about how to make the goat". I'll guess you meant "I'm very happy if you shoot in a video about how to make the gaskets". Here is a link to me making some gaskets: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aH2upKt_jqiHodE Hope this helps. BD

@@yusufcelen88 Ah! I see. You said, "pompanin deri plan kecesinden bahsediyorum bu videoyu izledim cok guzel" which seems to Google translate as, "watched this video I'm talking about the leather plan felt pump very good". I do not make my own leather pump cups. I don't think making them myself is worth my time. I buy them already made from people who are better at making them than I am. Check my stove parts link page for links to people who make leather pump cups. www.berniedawg.com/stove-part-supplier-links/ BD Kendi deri pompa kaplarımı yapmıyorum. Onları kendim yapmak benim zamanımdır. Onları benden daha iyi yapan insanlardan satın aldım. Deri pompa kapları yapan insanlara bağlantılar için soba parçaları bağlantı sayfamı kontrol edin. www.berniedawg.com/stove-part-supplier-links/ BD

Try as I might, in the one I’ve just acquired, I can’t seem to get the pressure to build up enough before it fades away, any ideas please, a thorough clean maybe?

@Dave Ramble On Witt You've described the symptoms of leaky seals. Replace all the seals as I show in these videos and you should be golden. Need more advice? bd@berniedawg.com 👍 BD

@@BernieDawgCinema thanks for that, appreciated, One thing I am curious about is, how long, on average, one in full working order, how long should it burn for, once it’s being pumped up for the first time, before it requires some more input?

@Dave Ramble On Witt For a 111B... 20-30 minutes or so? The naphtha models like the B can self-pressurize a bit. Need more advice? bd@berniedawg.com 👍 BD

@@BernieDawgCinema thanks, mine lasts about a minute before it needs pumping up again, like you said previously, a complete service and seal change definitely required, thanks for being so helpful, really appreciated
@BernieDawgCinema
@BernieDawgCinema 3 жыл бұрын
@Dave Ramble On Witt Sure thing. A minute shows really bad leakage. Your stove is 20-40 years old. Seals only last 5-8 years. But, just get those seals changed out and you'll see a world of difference. My videos show you pretty much everything you need to know. You can email me for a link to where to get the parts for yours there in the UK. BD

I cleaned up a bunch of brass stoves with Brasso, not knowing what else to use, so not a good idea?
@BernieDawgCinema
@BernieDawgCinema 5 жыл бұрын
Correct. Not a good idea. Avoid ammoniated cleaners when cleaning thin brass. Ammonia can cause or contribute to the development of stress cracks in brass stove tanks. BD
