The only thing I don’t like about prime is that he basically got all his character development before the show. If you want to see a more flawed and not perfect Optimus then I would suggest reading the exodus books. They take place in the aligned continuity before and during the war. It gives Optimus/Orion more character and shows what he was like before the war

@@legendarygodzilla14 Actually, Optimus took the blame for the Archa 7 incident(even though it was Sentinel who made them go) and after getting kicked out of the Academy, Sentinel just pushed him away, never forgiving him for what happened to Elita-1. That anger turned into, I suppose, a hated friendship towards each other, and eventually, Sentinel grew jealous of what Optimus managed to do. If the writers had continued on with TFA season 4, I think Sentinel would've turned into a villain. Eventually.
