Options we REGRET not getting on the Corvette C8!

I absolutely disagree! The convertible is AWESOME! Black out the roof and nacelles, and it's gorgeous. With limited trunk space, placing the roof in the trunk totally eliminates that trunk space. Sebring Orange has no color interior that matches, so you're stuck with black. Don't like the sky cool gray, will show dirt way too much. Also there's hard air flow with the roof off on the coupe, and better air flow with the convertible. I actually prefer the carbon fiber spoiler as opposed to the high wing spoiler. Of course my cost is just a hair under $100,000 as I'd go with the 3LT as well. Love your knowledge of the C8 however and your channel.

Well thought out. My comment regarding the Z51 1 package is this. If you intend to seriously track your car then that option is a MUST. However, if you are NOT seriously planning on tracking your car save your money. Cheers!

2LT give you soooooo much more! Like 25 options and you will get all of it back on resale! Heated and cooled seats power mirrors, garage door, rear camera, easy exit seats more adjustments, cameras, super sound system.... sorry I would never buy a 1LT

the engine appearance package only gives you the 2 side covers in carbon fiber and two led lights above engine not worth $995 imo

You can buy a light kit with remote for $75 online. Some guy painted the struts and engine cover for $18. Looked great.

After market carbon fiber panels are almost double the price. At $995, the factory option offers exceptional value for buyers that want the carbon fiber and integrated light.

I feel you bro. Only thing I disagree with is paying extra for the engine appearance package and the high wing. The high wing is just AIGHT in my opinion. I saw it in person 3 times on 3 different color C8's. It looks better on the black C8. There are far better looking after market options out and being produced. I was told that the 2LT was almost a must because you can't see anything at all backing up or over your shoulders. Is this true?

True. Visibility is very limited due to the gaping blind spot. The digital mirror and blind spot detection solve that problem so you aren't always wondering if it's safe to change lanes.

It is true..I have 2LT convertible..love it..just a button..no need to get out of the vehicle..and all the amenities that come with the 2LT...u need it..

Yes I agree theonly thing I miss is the ability of mirrors to go in and out on their own not worth 2lt package. The way to go is. 1lt z51 magnetic ride control color of your choice on brakes if so desired.

I don’t agree sorry. 2LT min because of what it includes. If you don’t track it or won’t ever then Z51 is not worth it, I personally went with it and MagRide and the front end lift. Love the ride modes, sounds, etc. but budget dictates what people will choose anyway.

1LT is meant for the value or budget conscious buyer. Motorized mirrors = motors, weight, cost. Budget, remember?

That rear spoiler was a no brainer for me when checking the boxes as was the Z51. Stupidly, I cancelled the order thinking that waiting until they got the bugs out would be a good idea. Plus I was hoping a manual would become available. I see the high wing spoiler is no longer available.

No regrets. My 2020 C8 (sold it) was a 1LT, NPP Exhaust, Edge Red Calipers & Engine Cover, & 5 spoke Carbon Flash wheels. MY 2021 C8 (on order, should have in March) is the same spec. Reasons for not getting the Z51 are: 1) did not want summer only tires (not good below 40 degrees), 2) not tracking the car, 3) did not want a rear spoiler. I did add a Z51 front splitter, and will add it to the 2021.

Your opinions are those of a silly young kid. High wing looks like something an adolescent would like on the back of such an elegant car. Also the lt1 loses way too many important options / look at the list - heads up display? Gone. Navigation- gone- electric seats - gone. Memory seats gone. Electric mirrors- gone. Camera rear view camera - gone. Also the convertible actually looks a lot better without the silly window to see the engine. Generally everyone knows your car must have an engine. But at least people know it is not rubber band powered? And taking the top off manually is rarely done. I know lots of coupe vette owners that have never removed their top - but with the convertible you will take the top off all the time and the nacelles really looks like the Ferrari it is trying to copy. Plus- stop making videos about a car you could not afford so you sold it. Do reviews of your Honda Civic instead!!! By the way a non-z51 is never ever to be run on a track - the brakes will fry damaging the rotors and calipers and put your life in jeopardy when the brakes stop working. Without z 51 the c8 is simply a luxury two door sedan and not intended to be driven hard and especially not on a track ever.

My opinions are 100% opposite of yours !! The HTC is far better than the 50 year old removable roof panel ! The 1lt has NO Lyft , camera rear view mirror, nor upgraded interior ,etc. The z51 is a waste of money unless you track it (which you do ,I don’t) and you recommend buying options (like painted calipers and engine dress-up = No performance upgrades, only impressing the gawkers !! All in all , the LEAST impressive C8 I’ve ever seen !!! Made me unsubscribe !

The HTC has come a long way. But with nearly an $8000 price tag, and only a 17% take rate, it wasn't an extremely popular option. Alternatively, Z51 had almost an 80% take rate. So a HTC without Z51 from a resale standpoint is not a desirable car.

If you don't get Z51 good luck with future resale value! Z51 makes it a super car. best way to build for future resale is red 2LT + tan interior + painted caliper + Z51 and painted engine cover period! Z51 is an absolute bargain for everything you get at only 5.9K CAD!
