Very reminiscent of Cyril Scott, as well as Delius, and almost no German sound at all here. The first movement definitely shows the influence of ragtime.

I don't know if it could be called this way, but Karg-Elert was definitely interested in Baroque Music.

Karg-Elert played the organ and wrote a lot of organ works. Even though I would call his style basically late romantic with some impressionistic influences, when you're an organist some of Bach rubs off on you! Check out his organ prelude on "Nun danket alle Gott."
