Trevor Henderson edits normal photos to add a monster of some kind into them, with Cartoon Cat being one of his most famous. Oh, I love the Mickey Mousing on the walk, it's such a nice touch... A+ for using that trick. For those who don't know, Mickey Mousing is a term for when the characters' actions on screen match up with the beats of the music. It got its name from old silly symphony and mickey mouse cartoons, where this effect was taken to the extreme. This really helps here because, well, it's a cartoon cat. It actually kinda fascinates me how the internet interpreted Cartoon Cat. I'm saying this because Cartoon Cat was infinitely more terrifying to me before all these various interpretations of it started popping up. Trevor Henderson's original art and information provided so little, it left a lot to the imagination. And that's great for the internet, because boy do we love taking things and letting imagination run wild. But I think that's caused Cartoon Cat to lose what made it so pants-shittingly terrifying to me. When I can visualize a threat to me, it becomes a lot more cohesive, even if just as much of a threat. I'm not as scared of lions or hippos as I am of sharks, even though the former are significantly more of a threat to me than the latter. It's that fact that I see more of them, I know more about them, and I can more cohesively piece together a picture of what a threat they are to me that somewhat subtracts from the tremendous fear I feel of them. I also understand sharks to a similar degree, but not nearly as much because of where they are, and how they act. They're different, and somewhat erratic in behavior through my interpretation. Even though, strangely, they're less of a threat to me. This is why Siren Head is less terrifying to me than Cartoon Cat, or Long Horse. Long Horse, I don't know much about, but I know he's passive. I know he's not a threat, and I'm comfortable with that. Siren Head, I know can mimic voices, blends in with trees, has mummified skin, etc. I know these things about him, whether they're helpful to me or not, and they help me paint a bigger picture of what Siren Head is and can do to me (if he was real). I don't get that luxury with Cartoon Cat. The ONLY information I'm given with Cartoon Cat is that.. there is no information on it. You don't know where it came from, why it exists, what it's made of, how it moves, how it hunts, what it hunts, what it can do, how MUCH it can do- You don't even know if this thing can be stopped. You don't know anything about its behavior. Maybe it sticks around abandoned places.. or maybe it doesn't. Maybe it goes wherever it wants. You don't know. You're not told. The clues provided are ambiguous and could mean anything. Just because images of it are taken in abandoned places doesn't mean it only stays around there. Hell, you don't even know if this thing has any kind of physical boundaries. Does it even have a physical form? Its arms stretch, but so does.. it's entire body? Everything about it? Does it have any structure? Is it literally just a cartoon brought to life, able to do whatever it pleases? What does it what? Where is it? Maybe it sees you through the images you see of it. Maybe it could be coming for you RIGHT NOW. There are way too many questions and far too little answers. I don't know anything about Cartoon Cat. Anything. EVERYTHING about this "thing" is left to your imagination, and that's what's so terrifying about it to me. These interpretations of it being a conscious being that enjoys murdering people, although also terrifying, give me information. They give me something to interpret, something that I can work off of to paint ANY kind of image of it. This concept of it preying on people to eat them like a wild animal is also terrifying, but it gives me something to comprehend. No matter how twisted it is, it's something I can comprehend. What Trevor Henderson initially left for me was NOTHING for me to comprehend, and that left me spineless. I'm not saying it's bad for the internet to interpret things, this is just my take on what makes Cartoon Cat so fucking scary.

Imagine a real life cartoon, with all its body-twisting, physics-bending shenanigans capabilities, just popping into the real world, with absolutely no clue of what to do, no audience, completely forgotten, with the vague information that he is a really big cat with vague human features, so a predator, of the type that likes to play with its prey and that he suddenly can feel HUNGER, and emotions without any ideas of how it happened. And also that a bending body IRL is probably really painful. So I don't know, it may justify the predator subject to anger (pain and confused frustration to be forgotten as a toon), crazy foolishness (his remnant toon shenanigans gone wrong with his new found emotions, and boredom) and just general common idea about Cartoon Cat. I don't know where I'm going with that, I'm just trying to comprehend his character development if it was IRL.

Going off on gambling sprees while our father is dead.” “At least I’m living my life and not seeing it just go by.” *Silence.* “What do you want from me now?” Lucinda finally said. “Why’d you kill him Lucinda? And why don’t you admit?” “You’re lost. You know he hung himself on that tree.” *They lay against the tree together, parallel from each other.* “He’s been gone for years, and you still don’t admit your faults. You’re honestly pitiful.” *Lucinda was silent.* “You choked him out of his life. Then hung him up. You say I’m seeing red, but look at your hands. They’re covered in blood.” *They stood up.* “Dear sister, you disgust me. You only do things for attention, only because you’re bored. You always wanted our attention, but never got it. Now look at you. A disgusting worm, nothing more.” “Canary,” Lucinda finally spoke. “You really hate me that much? We’re siblings, sisters, yet you hate me like we’re not.” “DON’T RELATE ME WITH YOU, YOU MONSTER. You killed our father and expect me to not hate you? Disgusting. Go after the child of the queen, the one he wanted?” *Her voice was somehow calm, even though her sister was yelling at her now.* “Obviously. Kill of the queen and king, then leave the child to grow up hating them.” *Canary took a slight glance towards Lucinda, who was still sitting down, looking into the night. She turned back.* “Lucinda. I know it was you, admit it.” “I held him ‘till the moment he died. It was all for the best anyhow.” “For the best? **For the BEST?** You killed our father without reason, you let us, me grow up without him.” “Not without reason, but does it really matter now?” *Canary smiled.* “Is it because he always thought of you of a failure? Of course, he never thought of me as a failure, since I had inherited his powers. You were always **useless.**” *Canary turned back around.* “Shame, it’s so sad.
