I just test drove one of these. It definitely nice and seems quality inside and I should know as I have driven Jaguars and Mercedes with full leather interiors. The quality of the full 360 degree cameras is amazing and the resolution of the screens is very crisp. The screens update very fast and this supports the word on the street that the Chinese insist on recent chipsets inside the cars they buy. They are very latest tech in China which is why this is only the second full electric car available in the UK that has face recognition in it. The look of the dashboard is nicer than the MG4 and feels better thought out and not thrown together. If you want a look at one go online and arrange a viewing or a test drive. My local Ora dealer is part of a Mercedes dealer. It does not look out of place next to Mercedes and Smart cars.

Hi there - love the channel but one video I'd love you to do is to discuss the merits of new vs used electric cars. For example - I could go to a dealer with a shiny brand new Ora Funky Cat for £32,000 ish. I'd get that great-looking interior (with it's fiddly touchscreen) but only 193 claimed miles on a full charge (and in the news today 130 in winter). Or - I could go to a dealer today and pick up any of the following: a 2022 Cupra Born for £29,740 (22,000 miles driven, 265 miles claimed) a 2021 VW id3 for £24,490 (37,000 miles driven, same 265 miles claimed) a Citroen eC4 for £22,499 (13,515 miles driven, 217 miles claimed) and the list goes on. All of the secondhand ones in my list are cheaper and have better range. Once the new Funky Cat comes out with the bigger battery and 260 miles claimed it'll be more expensive and make the Cupra Born a bargain in comparison. Plus then it will start to come up against secondhand Ioniq 5's.... So - new? Or secondhand? Looking forward to that one! PS fancy sending someone to Ireland to test drive the bigger range Funky Cat which does come with heated seats and other extras? It is on sale on their website right now - but not here.

@@HaydenLau. From £16k to £30k plus? No, they put an extra margin on it as well. Good luck to them, I don't think they will sell well at that pricing point compared to MG and others.

I like the Ora Funky Cat and see loads of them here in China, but they are a lot cheaper here. They start at £22.000 which is a better price for this car.

In Malaysia, it's known as Good Cat. Saw it few times already, but didn't have the chance to try it yet.

CHINA IS A FASCIST TOTALITARIAN REGIME ! ALWAYS LIVING AND PROPAGATING LIES ! ALWAYS MANIPULATING; INDOCTRINATING AND LURING IN PEOPLE THEIR OWN NATION _ ITS A CRIMINAL POLICE STATE ! WE SHOULD STOP ANY PRODUCTION ANY CONTACT TO THIS NATION ! TO PREVENT THE INTOXINATION OF THE REST OF THE WORLD BY FASCIST!

This should have been a £25k vehicle all day long imo. Cheers

Exactly. It's biggest competitor (obstacle?) will be the MG4 at a starting price of £26k....... £32k for what this car offers seems too pricey.

Drove the ORA today. It was a 300 Pro which claims to do around 310 km according to WLTP. I´ve managed to reach 306 km which is literally spot on. There´s a Long Range version called 400 and it can do almost 250 miles. It kills ID3 in terms of interior quality and the equipment is more Tesla than VW or Mini. The only option on ORA seems to extened range and metallic paint. Everything else is standard, even heated, ventilated seats with massage function. It had full LEDs and electric tailgate. The key is really chunky, though. It beats MG4 in terms of comfort, interior quality and tech. The 300 lacks range to it, but 400 is up there. My only complaints are slight wind noise, small boot and that it defaults its Drive Mode every time I start it. It isn´t the funniest car to drive but it feels settled, calm and relaxed. £35k for one? I would sacrifice the boot capacity, range and take this over ID3 which is a more practical but also a cheap plastic box. Many people stopped and some even came to me and we had a chat about this car. Even young ´´gangsta´´ people liked it.

I have found, over a period of more than 50 years, that smaller cars have a larger turning circle than a much larger car. A very good illustration of this is the way my father’s Zephyr 6 turned like a London Taxi, while mother’s Morris Mini Minor took several turns to make it turn about on a major road!!

Do they make long wheel based version too? ORA L 😉

if it had 650km of range on the freeway and much faster charging, this thing would be great

Its a city car man, not a truck... What the heck. Not even tesla does 650km range on the highway...

Yeah that would be very cool for the 3 people in this world who need to go more than 650 kilometers in one go every other day
