If you do go the route of LED headlights, make sure to adjust them so as not to blind oncoming traffic. Cheers.

Great video, I feel your pain with installing those headlights. Done it too many times :) I hope they work out for you better than they worked out for me!

LOL, nothing frustrating about this upgrade. This is one of the simplest upgrades I have done. I don't know why the man in the video was frustrated. I have had these lights for a while now and they look great, work great and function as they are supposed to. I have never activated my daytime running lights but if I want to run my oracle part of the lights during the day I will switch my parking lights on. The splicing was easy although I do prefer splicing permanently while using shrink tubing to finish up the job. Again, love the lights and if everything goes well these lights should last the entire life of my jk.

Hi Dino, great video! Not sure if you still have the LED lights installed but on the JScan tool, there is an option of changing the lights to CDN mode to stop the flickering. I had the same issue and that resolved it. Also, you can adjust the lower the voltage of the high beams to reduce the brightness but that depends on the make of the LED. Hope that helps.

Sorry to hear the lights are not what you had hoped for. Good to know for those considering the same.

Hey Randy, That's what I thought too. The way many brands advertise plug and play is misleading. Plus the cheaper ones have lots of reviewers writing in with problems they are having. I hope it helps some considering this option. Cheers.

yup, you get what you pay for. I bought a similar set, with no halo, and the anit-flicker harness has been absolute garbage. that being said, to change the DTR from being brights, you can just move a pin on that harness, just reverse one of the 3, and it seems to work fine. there's multiple vids out there demonstrating it. worked for me the other option, is you can use that JScan app to change it as well

Hey TikkerLoS, Thanks for sharing. Good to know about that pin. I mentioned JScan in the video. I could do a whole video just on THAT Cheers!

I have a recurring fogging problem. They say it will go away, and it doesn't, and fogged-up Oracles look absolutely terrible. Your jeep has the Mopar OEM headlights - I heard they never fog? Please comment!

Hey Slava, I hadn’t observed fogging in the OEM lights but they are not bright enough. That’s why many people look to aftermarket lights. Cheers

Is this the same for JL models? Or are there good LED aftermarkets for JLs?
@CheaperJeeperTV
@CheaperJeeperTV 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Erick, There are good ones for the JL, and even good ones for the JK, but they are very expensive. What the less expensive ones don't tell you, is that although they state, plug and play, they aren't entirely. You may still need to splice into the turn signal, or fuse box, or they are only warrantied for six months!!! By the time you buy splicing tools and materials and a Proscan to program a fix for the daytime running lights, you could have just bought the more expensive ones that just work right from the start. I know in different models in different years Jeep has changed their wiring, so you should do your research on the year in question.

Any light with a DRL that's a halo is going to need an ignition sourced power supply or a switchable power supply if you want them on a toggle or S-POD type unit. Headlight connections do not provide that since they're on a switch. There is no power being sent to the unit until you tell it to. T taps are a not so great idea and I hate that Oracle even recommends them. You should cut, splice and heat shrink the connection in an off road vehicle to protect them from the elements, unless you rarely/never go on trails.

I’ve never seen JK LED’s that didn’t flicker. Even factory LED’s flicker. It’s what happens when Jeep sold out to making cheap plastic trash

Your wrong or blind. Most quality anti flicker harnesses work just fine. I’ve had my rigids for like 10 years. No flicker.
