I am not able to use the feature, i am using 12.1.0.2 Connected to: Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.2.0 - 64bit Production With the Partitioning, OLAP, Advanced Analytics and Real Application Testing options SQL> alter table dixit.sample inmemory; alter table dixit.sample inmemory * ERROR at line 1: ORA-00922: missing or invalid option

Very clear presentation. please confirm this features is available only 12.1.02. How Oracle ensure all the data in Memory is wrote on disk when you stop the sga.

Yes, this is available only starting with 12.1.0.2. Data in the In-Memory Area never goes to disk. Only data in the buffer cache goes. When you modify data, it goes through the buffer cache mechanism.
