@@kanikasuneja7777 OK so when the command is run it checks the data but ignores the case sensitivity, meaning whether it's in uppercase or lowercase it does not matter but adding the upper() or lower() function it will check for case sensitivity. Say WHERE lower(address) = 'chennai'; it will ignore the data in the table that has Chennai or CHENNAI or any with any uppercase letter in it same a applies to uppercase but this time the opposite. Sorry for the wild reply I ain't good at explaining 😅

Why is this SQL code returning more than rows for some dates? ALTER TABLE Orders ADD ymd date; UPDATE Orders SET ymd = CAST(order_datetime as date); SELECT ymd FROM orders GROUP BY ymd;

Hi Sir, very good conceptual explanation, I have a doubt at video time - 2hr:22mint , it is told that when salary of 10K is given to 4 employees, we have to sort the result set based on second column i.e hire date in seniority basis. By default a column is being sorted in ascending order. But here it's sorted in descending order according to you on seniority basis. If suppose ,hire date is mentioned in descending order then the result is correct but which is not mentioned. Can you clarify my doubt sir please?
