I think the sheer physics of their size simply will bias towards a sluggish acceleration. 86mm + is head scratchingly large without additional kit like e boards. Ty for this content

I allready upgraded from 72mm Globe wheels to 85 MM Seismic "defcon" 77a Speed Vents wheels on my Globe board. I noticed the speed momentum is better. They hold on speed for longer distances. Also pumping seems to go better. Though in the need for speed , I'm thinking of upgrading wheels again : from 85 mm to 105 mm Wheels . Unfortunately Seismic doesn't seem to have 105 mm wheels, Though they claim world records on downhill max speed f.e. have been ridden on seismic speed vents as well. Since you have both Orangatang 85 mm and 105 mm wheels. Jay. My question is : Can you tell me : "Are Orangatang 105 mm wheels notably faster than the 85mm version ?"

Yeah they are faster, but it's really not a crazy difference. You will get more speed but I would recommend getting the 100m boas for your speed cravings

Dad bods are designed for e boards. Not saying that you can't use them for a street board. Just a better e board wheel.

I ride Caguamas--great ride. Get bumped around a little more than I like on certain pavements. Do you think the Dad Bod wheels will absorb more or do I need to go to inflatable tires for these pavements? Thanks for your time.

It's a lot of bearings out there, I haven't even tried them all. I can say for myself I skate bones bearings alot and zealous.

Sir the larger the diameter the slower the acceleration but faster top speeds pure physics, on the flip side the smaller the wheel the faster the acceleration but slower top speed. It is worth it if doing top speed records!

Thanks for this review! So hypothetically, if both caguamas and dad bods cost exactly the same, do you feel like there'd be any additional perk in getting the dad bods? Or is it hard to tell any difference at all? Also, really looking forward to the battle of the big wheels video of yours, because I am really curious about the wheels with faster acceleration, since that is something important to me.

Well if they both cost the same, of course go with the larger wheel so you can have a better roll speed. It will naturally be faster and just because it's bigger, so if that's what you want get the dad bod's, and I'm saying that because you bring the hypothetical of if they are the same price. But they are essentially the same exact wheel, only difference is diameter in my opinion. If you are a fan of the caguamas, then you will enjoy the dad bod's, it is a speed increase just because the wheels are bigger but there isn't any outstanding difference to them.

I'm thinking of putting them on my Mata Hari for commuting. Will it still be ok for beginner tricks (varials, 180 no-comply)? And how about sliding?

No it will be too heavy for that. Sliding aswell it will be a challenge to slide them and to control the slide

It‘s interesting that these don‘t feel like an upgrade to the Caguamas. I would have thought for sure the extra diameter would allow you greater roll speed and speed maintenance. Could you have meant that they weren‘t better from the price to performance aspect? Obviously Caguamas are great wheels, so there isn‘t a ton you can do upgrade on them in terms of LDP. Mind sharing your thoughts?

Yeah definitely from the price to performance aspect, I don't feel it's worth it. It does feel like caguamas a lot and roll speed is better with the dad bod's but it's not enough to move the needle in my opinion for a $150 purchase like that. Because the wheels are so similar, even down to the same thane, it's hard to say it's worth the price in my opinion
