15s always sound so much better to me. For years I played through a 2- 15 Acoustic setup, then later a Gk with two single 15 cabinets. Never liked 10s or 12s much. That Orange 115 cab sounds so much richer and dimensional. But to each his own …

Thank you for these videos. Im a guitar player and was looking to get my first real bass rig. I ended up buying two OBC115's and the bass terror and couldn't be happier. Made me sell my Ampeg 810 as the 115 are huge sounding and that what I like, and the 115's are easier to move around and this is a big deal as I only have one bass amp. Thanks again!

I have been looking at the 115 myself recently. However, at 60 lbs it would be a struggling and like you, I would have to have a pair of them. I see you posted two years ago, any thoughts after these couple of years regarding the sound, tone, and weight?

I played an OBC115 at a music store, and it sounded REALLY good. It was deep and thick in a way that smaller cabs just aren't. It made the kind of sound that you can feel i your chest. I would never get any Orange cab other than the 115.

I really wish you guys could have played some similar or the same things (amp settings) for all of them. Maybe a heavier and a cleaner setting/riff for each. Just some food for thought. Thanks for this though. Still a cool video.

In all honesty, I've tried many cabinets and the orange OBCs are my absolute favorite. Sadly the likelihood of owning my dream setup of a 4x10 and 1x15 are next to nothing. I shattered my ankle last year and I have to be very careful with heavier equipment....and these boys are heavy for sure!!

The Ampeg Portaflex cabs should be somewhat close to the Orange tone and they're lighter! You could also get an Ampeg Portaflex amp (e.g. PF350) and a Fender Rumble cab, those cabs are super light and the Ampeg solid state amp recreates the vintage mid-heavy, tube-y sound pretty well. This amp + cab combo costs roughly the same as the Orange cabs in this video and it's much better suited for gigs!

Looking for a different cav to replace my Ampeg 610HLF, which is too muddy/Boomy in the low lows. I prefer a more mid/low mid bass tone for our power-pop/punk rock band.

Do you know why an 8x10 cab can have alot less HF range than a 4x10 or say a 2x10? For example an Ampeg SVT 8x10 goes up to 5khz, but the 4x10 is something like 8-12khz. Any ideas?

The orange 4x10 here has has a tweeter which adds a ot of high end, but you can turn it off and probably get something close to that up to 5khz probably

Is it worth the money to get the orange OBC810 to slip under my lovely blue DG Alpha Omega 900? I don't need it at all, I am just into blue & orange, and being good to myself by upgrading some gear after a much needed lucky break. I can make even my cheap gear sound good, I want to know if that cab and my head would make me say.... Yes, this is what I think $4000 dollars should sound like. Dig? The 8x10 has roughly the same weight as our solar system. If you really want it, get two 4x10s. But soundwise: YES! They’re friggin amazing!!!

A 4-10 cab that can only take 600 watts has very light duty 150 watt 10"s. Orange could put istall at least 250 RMS speakers then you start to have something. Also why use distortion effects when trying a speaker? Orange put in a real good speaker in the 15" cab at 400 watt rating. All bass cab manufacturers should tell us if the rating is RMS or peak not to mislead us bass players who are going to spend lots of cash buying their product. I will not buy any speaker unless told specifically the RMS rating and I hope all you bass players agree and hold amp companies responsible to do it or not buy their products. I Always enjoy Bass The World videos and thanks for posting them.

You do realize that chaining 2 of these 410s drops your amp to 4ohms? That's 8-10s 600watts per cab. That's moving air. 600 for a 410 is fine.

@c3 - Got one. It stays in the rehearsal room. Unfortunately i still have achieved road crew status. Currently, 2 Orange OBC112s. With a Orange terror bass 500. Its great for small venues and up. Our FOH is very good. So. Depends on what your situation is. Lots of options for sure.

depending on the sound ypu want. Yes, the 15 can produce more and deeper lowend, but isn't as tight as the 410. So I would prefer a 410 for downtuned rock/metal stuff. If you would like to play mor Raggea, HiPHop etc in which you need some subby low end, the 115 is for you :-)
