ORANGE BEACH, Sarti(Καβουροτρυπες,Πορτοκαλι),Halkidiki,Sithonia
The first beach everyone will mention when you say you are going to Sithonia and even those who have not visited it,is located 7 km north of Sarti or just under 10 minutes drive.The beach is also called Kavourotripes or in Greek crabs holes.For some reason to the Greeks these round rocks look like oranges,hence the name Portokali or orange in Greek.
Very fine,clean,white sand combined with a long shoal,rounded rocks and pine forest and shade in the background of the beach equal enjoyment for all your senses.
The beach has several smaller bays where if you want to be you have to come very early.A big part of the visitors settle in a café on the left side of the beach but here in the first few meters enter the water can be bad which could spoil your impression of the beach if you visit it with children.In the background of the beach there are several very good organized cafes-taverns,since this is a kind of wildrnees.So you can choose stay here.
As day goes by and tourists keep coming,you will see amazing ways to find one more free space.The beach can be reached by car and there are plenty of parking spaces but be carful not to be surrounded by other cars.
Postcards of this beach are sculptures carved into the rocks in the right part of the beach,which have unfortunately been slightly damaged in recent years.
The incredible crowds is probably the only minus of maybe the most popular beach on whole Halkidiki,so for those who can not stand it,in the continuation of this beach,when you go north,there are several incredibly beaytiful bays and that beach is called Mega Portokali or Big Orange and at the very end of this series is Paradise beach.This two beaches are not as popular but they are as beautiful as Orange beach….

Boja se malo promenila poslednjih godina i meni se najviše svidela na Armenistis plaži pa bih rekao Lagonisi na drugom mestu pa Orange i sve tri su sa čistim peskom...
