Put your piping bag in a tall/skinny glass and turn the sides over the top of the glass a little and fill it that way. The purple rubberband is for the end of the piping bag to keep it closed. The White part with screw thread goes inside the bag (with the end of it sticking out a little) and then the silver tip goes on the outside of the bag and you screw it into place with the little white screw ring! :) That way if you want to change tips, you just unscrew the ring, take the tip off the outside of the bag, pop a new tip onto the part that's halfway inside the bag/halfway out, and screw it on again!

That pie sounds delish and summery. I'm loving this series. I haven't checked yet, but if you haven't already, be sure to make a pie playlist so we can find all of them. The trick to that pastry/decorating bag is to fold it down over your hand, only fill halfway, twist the top to force the contents down and ONLY squeeze from the top. You did a fab job considering you were figuring it out along the way. I just love Daniel. I wish he'd start a KZbin channel of his new journey!

I’m really enjoying this series! Wish Daniel lots of luck on his endeavors. When Daniel said “I’m Mandarin”, that’s actually a common way Chinese people speak. Similarly to how someone from England might say they’re English. There are lots of different ethnic groups in China that by saying “I’m Mandarin” or “I’m Cantonese” or in my situation, “I’m Hakka”, it not only gives insight to the dialect my family/ancestor spoke, but also acknowledges my culture because there are differences between different Chinese groups even though many of those ethnic groups now speak Mandarin. Hope that comment didn’t come off the wrong way - not my intention. Love watching your videos.

This has been so inspiring and I totally agree with what Meghan said about not wanting to bring pies to potlucks cause they seem like too much work but this is definitely making me want to be a pie lady too! People get excited about pies and that makes it fun!

I really enjoy this September pie month series. You were inspired. AND I like the idea of Mike doing a cookie recipe for a month....maybe March cookie madness month! Think about it.🍪

I have been watching your vlog for a long time and enjoyed them very much!!! Your pie month is however one of the best ideas, so much fun!!! What I like in particular Megan is that you are real. Your inexperience with some techniques are most certainly part of your charm and it feels like we are all learning together. I am excited to try some of the pies for example tomato pie myself. Lived a long life and have never even heard of it, thank you for that!!! Continued success with the pies and I look forward to tomorrow!!! Have fun, I know I will!

After watching you make the peach pie, I went and found fresh peaches and made a pie. I've always hesitated making pies because they require more work. I used an old pie crust recipe I had, skined, and removed the peach pit. Cut up the peaches, added sugar, corn starch, and a little nutmeg. The pie came out delicious, my family killed it in 2 days. Like you, I'll be making more pies. Thanks for the motivation!!!

You did a great job at piping! To fill my piping bags, I usually put the tip end of the bag into a mug then fold the bag over the top edge. When you scoop your icing or whipped cream into it, you can use the edge of the mug to scrape your spoon and the opening of the bag is out of the way not getting messy! Hope this helps 😊

I usually do 3 to 4 boxes! 4 to 5 Vanilla Almond Bark.. I use whatever is on hand as far as a pot to melt the candy.. Plenty of parchment paper to spread the cookies on after you dip them.. Spread peanut butter on each cracker put two together and lay to side until you are done with all of them. Then start the Almond Bark in your chosen pot/pan/boiler and melt it down stirring lightly so it doesn't burn or until melted. When melted and ready leave on stove on warmer or simmer. Start dipping the cookies and laying them on the parchment paper/ wax paper during Christmas we sprinkle them with green and red! After cooled eat and enjoy! ♥️ I Prefer Pie over cake any day! I Love them both but I can't wait till Christmas when we do alot of our baking..

For the piping bag the bigger plastic piece goes inside the bag first so the tip can be placed on the outside of the bag and the ring can screw it from the outside to the coupler inside (like the ring on a mason jar). That way you can change the tip without putting it into a new bag. You can skip both of those pieces and just use the tip in the bottom of the bag if you don’t want the ability to change the tip

The plastic piping tip looking thing goes inside the piping bag, the metal piping tip goes on the outside, and then the plastic clear ring spins around the piping tip and screws onto the plastic part inside. The purple rubber band looking thing is to tie off the end of the bag. Put the piping bag into a tall cup and fold the edges over the outside of the cup and fill it that way!
