Pretty much. Brook just kept on getting hurt throughout this series, her most happiest was with Poussey and her group. But Piper was absolutely horrible throughout the majority of the show.

I feel like they kinda unceremoniously threw soso in without really fleshing out her character. And then they used her to further poussey’s arc, only then did they try to flesh her out which was inconsistent with things that were already established about her. She was the product of lazy writing imo. I feel like there was a lot of scope with a character like soso. So many elements that I know would’ve existed for an overachieving girl with a hardass mom who went to prison and disgraced her family, in the words of my hardass mom! And soso wasn’t exactly annoying! She was lacking self awareness but she generally tended to speak sense. It’s because we always see someone being annoyed with her in the beginning that we consider her annoying. That’s what the show intended I guess?

By far the worst character in the show I always felt like the show tried to force soso onto audiences and the only significant thing she’s had was being with Poussey, other than that she doesn’t bring anything new to the show and she doesn’t progress the plot
