Really love Edwyn Collin’s song writing and McClymont’s bass parts. A match made in heaven.

I just happened upon them, which is weird, as I was a kid in a dull Canadian town. No reason why I should have known of them. But we had good record stores where I breathlessly purchased their much beloved 45s.

Sounds better than a lot of their proper releases. There’s a palpable energy to the performance. I assume, they were a great live band, hearing this session.

They truly were - sometimes chaotic, always entertaining. Zeke tightened them up, though with no loss to the essential genius. I nearly got married because of them, though that is another tale. My kindest regards to you :)

They were superb and I concur with Tommy GinShop, Zeke was an awesome drummer who fit the band perfectly. They were also lovely lads. I had a few cans with them in their dressing room at Retford Porterhouse in the early 80's. Zeke was a huge Al Green fan. I took some great photo's of Edwyn. Yep, top band and top lads.

I almost always prefer live recordings... just got to listen to them from the first time, and much prefered this sessions to their album versions
