The dry curaçao allows you to sweeten the drink as you prefer. Sometimes I add an ounce of white Creme de cacao to my margarita cocktail. Or peach brandy.

Cointreau is triple sec too, they used to have that on the label, but all these shitty triple secs came out so they quit using the name. I use PF these days, I think it add a ton of good flavor to drinks. BTW, PF dry Curacao is also cognac based, which is why it has that spicy taste.

@Dominikmj Жыл бұрын
Sorry - you are wrong... Well: Cointreau was the first company which called their orange liqueur triple sec curaçao (curaçoa meaning the style of the liqueur, which was invented on this island): it meant apparently: triple the taste and dryer than other liqueurs (in the period, it has been introduced). Cointreau dropped the moniker triple sec, when there were a lot of other brands copying this term (Cointreau at the same time, was well established). The Pierre Ferand Dry Curaçao is also a hybrid - probably far closer to Grand Mariner. Because it has some cognac in it - hence Grand Mariner and Pierre Ferand could be called Orange Curaçao. White orange liqueurs based on neutral spirit could be called Triple Sec Curaçaos.
