DAN AND CREW, Sure hope you see this. After 5 unsuccessful deer seasons in Appalachia, I decided to dedicate more time to actually learning how to scout and hunt deer, instead of my usual “I seen a deer over there once so I’ll hunt there.” No idea how many hours I logged reading/watching your stuff and scouting like crazy this summer, fall, and as the season started. I went from 0 deer in 5 seasons to 2 bucks in 6 days. Both killed on the ground. The first one at 25 yds. It busted me on a Wednesday due to wind. I went back that Saturday and adjusted my setup by about 7 yds and killed that same deer. Fast forward to this past Friday. Went and hunted and area that had historical buck sign from years past. Hadn’t been in there since September. Killed a buck there at 11:11 am at 15 yds, right after dropping a pin for OnX, as I’d planned to continue stillhunting and check that spot again another time. Hands down, your tutorials about thermals, wind, and topography made me a lot more confident and finally got me some deer in the freezer. Just a 3pt and 6pt but for a guy hunting the mountains who wasn’t raised in the outdoors, I couldn’t be happier. Especially with the current food prices. Can’t thank y’all enough. Live in West Central Wi. Use to do drives with a bunch of friends. But now that im older my body will not allow this in bluff country. I still hunt but now i just set. Great watching your crew. It brings back many memories! Stay safe.

Bow season in WI closed yesterday right? That line looks like spent Game Tracker line. A spool of nylon line inside a canister that screws into the riser of a bow. The line is wrapped around the broadhead insert and screwed it into the shaft. Upon a hit the line peels out.

I was bow hunting some public land in ohio it was first day of youth gun season I was on a nice buck for 5 days and my stand is 130 140 yards from the parking lot that buck was coming threw where I was and beding in a thicket right by the parking lot I heard a couple guys pull in and 2 minutes later heard 2 quick gun shots ring out I wait till last light walk out an someone shot my tires out that all together cost me 850$ hit That I don't have. Mackey Ford state park in ohio just under 200 acres an There's at least 2 illegal corn piles And multiple illegal stands

Great content as always from the beast crew! Looks like a fun group. I do a fair amount of drives as well mostly in northern Wisconsin in the big woods. I noticed none of you had compasses visible. In the big woods it’s easy to get turned around. Heard one of the guys say that in the video and made me think of why it’s a must in the thicker forests. Thanks for sharing your hunts!

Just curious Dan what type of ammo are you using for your ar15 and how are you liking it for deer hunting

I use ballistic tip hunting ammo. Its a lot more expensive than most .223 ammo but it puts the deer down faster and works great. Tiny entrance, big exit. Good for the shorter range stuff where you may need multiple shots and brush its hard to get a traditional rifle thru

Maybe in your opinion... But its not spraying lead when your shots are on target and effective fast kills are our goals and getting that done is #1... Not trying to please tree huggers and what they assume over reality. Deer run when they are shot. Even though they are hit mortally you want them put down as fast as possible. If your prejiduce against black guns, just dont use one. I think ethically killing quickly and harvesting food is actually a GOOD look for the hunting industry, and regardless, Im not doing this to "portray a look"
