He is right in that other countries celebrate April's fools at different times. In Spain, for example, it's the 28th of December and is called "Día de los santos inocentes" which translates to "day of the innocent saints" but can also mean"day of the fools". As to how it's celebrated, it's basically the same thing as April's fools.

Mandrakes in real life are fruits..well sort of. The screaming ones like shown in dst are the roots, the plants themselves produce fruit! The roots by themselves would be considered a vegetable (a root vegetable). They aren't rutabagas lol (completely different plants! Though the mandrake root in dst does look similar to a rutabaga) Mandrakes in real life are also poisonous, they're part of the nightshade family.

Mandrakes aren't vegetables. They're actually living creatures from mythology.

They're also a real plant lol; the roots (what mythology mostly talks about) are vegetables (root vegetables) whilst the plant produces a fruit. I feel like a lot of people don't know they're real and not just a made up plant lol! They don't scream and run around but the roots do look similar to people I guess (which is where the mythology came from..and likely from the mandrakes being poisonous..they're a hallucinogen so people probably hallucinated them screaming and stuff!) In mythology they're literally just living vegetables..they're still vegetables just alive and moving; did you know all plants are living? They're all alive they just don't talk, they can move though (not from the spot they're planted but they can move their leaves, petals, roots, and stems..like bending and twisting around)
