Sick mod, Titan! This was a truly brilliant concept and it was crazy fun playing. Well done. I have an even crazier idea: How about combining Capitalism with Random Recipes so that the currency changes daily, but there is an exchange period each night? So, let's say it starts out with grass as the currency, then once night falls it is announced that tomorrow, let's say, twigs will be the new currency, and the exchange market opens: until dawn, players can craft twigs from grass at an exchange rate with significant penalty (say, 5 grass for 3 twigs or something). This will allow players to retain some of their accumulated wealth, however anyone who correctly speculated on the next day's market and hoarded twigs "tax free" will become rich. Players who want to gamble on the nature of tomorrow's currency can also attempt speculative trades before the market opens, hoping to pull off amazing deals if they get lucky, or else end up with a bunch of worthless junk if they guess incorrectly. However, they can always elect to save their stacks until a future day when the fickle market may smile upon them. The volatile nature of the market will lead to the identity of the 1% shifting wildly from day to day, leading to soaring highs followed by bitter lows as kings are made and then broken at the whim of the ephemeral exchange, and former factions turn on one another once they realize that a miser is in their midst. It could get quite interesting. And thusly, we have Even More Capitalism. What do you think?
