I like it when people make videos about the Ocala area because they make it sound so great, but in actuality if your not upper middle class or high class, it’s not fun to live here. If your poor, becoming homeless is pretty easy here. Place is over priced and over populated and now the city/town is trying to turn it into a snotty “ Country “ sight seeing tourists spot. I miss growing up here, everything has just gone down hill the past few years.😔

I totally agree. Slocala ain't what it used to be, we had a great water park and a decent zoo, then I saw it slowly wither away. Judges and farm owners run this town, so welcome to Ocala 💁‍♂️... On the flip side though, it's so slow, you'll always feel safe, even in the hood lol.. Great for families, not much for the youth...

@@tracyvision Ocala is one of the Better places to live in Florida because we had horses and etc. Beautiful area. Florida has become a melting pot. Florida work wages are very low and most my friends had to have 2 jobs just to get by. That's just my experience. I couldn't HANDLE the hurricanes either. Ocala was hit very hard by Irma while we were there. I have many reasons for leaving Florida. I wouldn't move back to the state again. You may like it. Everyone is different in what they want and where they like living. Also too hot and humid for us also. I now retired in Costa Rica but this is where we were meant to be !!! PURA VIDA

Standing on,the sides of the road. Then the yankees came cut down our big old oak trees paved over the sandy roads. I lived near,, ocurse road. It was called that because if you drove to fast on that sand you would wreck causing you to curse.. We all waved at each other I'm part Seminole. We spoke the southern language. Good fishing and hunting. I knew old Ross Allen. But it ain't that way, no more I got the devil out a there years ago,,,but I have my memories,,I went to school at Osceola.
