I'd also heard they are not far off from energy independence, through solar and other means, so not to be at the mercy of the failing power grid systems the government has allowed to decay..

Why don't you open Orania to displaced Afrikaners and absorb them in absorption centers to screen and equip them with the necessary training for agriculture to enhance your agriculture economy. You can invite Israeli agriculture experts to help Orania develop farms in the mould of a kibbutz or moshavs agriculture cooperatives which will help provide agricultural skills and income opportunity not only for the potential newcomers but for Orania as a whole. With the help of agriculture experts from Israel, you can diversify your food crops to include as well date palm, avocados, mangoes and a variety of other agricultural crops while at the same time expanding Orania's Afrikaner population.
