At my primary school the girls sewing teacher was nicknamed Granny Gingham ! The girls worked with ginham cloth in the sewing class I suppose because it was cheap. I read that it is easier to sew as well. It was typically red and white or blue and white in a cross checked pattern that you will know when you see it.

YELLS FULLY HILLY GOLLY DOLLY I found "patterns" right away but finding the patterns was took awhile. Dessert is also my favorite, especially anything with chocolate. I do have to watch how much sweets I eat.

Wordle was tough today. Got it in 5. First time I remember when I've struck out completely on the first two guesses, At first I thought the answer was a proper noun (generally not allowed) but then realized it has a non proper meaning as well. Fitting that I got STRIPES first in the Fine Print. Connections wasn't hard (though yellow I described to myself as degrees of skin lesions) but I wasn't going to spend all day trying to figure out the meaning of the purple category which was the default for me. Though once I saw the answer it became very obvious. Funny how that works. Restaurant: Definitely steak or red meat servings. My pet peeve at restaurants? *Small Portions*. Eating out is expensive so I feel shortchanged when the portion is small, even if the food is really good. My measure, if I have room for dessert, the portion size should have been larger. When I go for dessert, I definitely go to the hot fudge chocolate cake!

Dessert for me too! But I have to curb my sweet tooth for health reasons so I rarely indulge. 😒

Gingham is a small check plaid. Like picnic tablecloths or Dorothy from Wizard of Oz wore a gingham dress.

Friend of mine was associated with a band called the Gingham Schmuz. That was the first time I heard that word, I think. That was the last word I found (not needing a hint)

I also like dessert. But when I eat in a restaurant, I rarely have room (or budget) for it.

Eugene Field wrote a poem "The Duel" about a Gingham Dog and a Calico Cat, which used to be read to children. Sort of tongue in cheek. I have a mouthful of "sweet teeth," so my favorite course is dessert, Strands #113 “Fine print” 🟡🔵🔵🔵 🔵🔵🔵 8. I had to think a bit for some of these.
