Great album, and there's a very good live performance of the album available on KZbin now which is surprisingly close to the studio recordings in quality and performance😀 i love psychedelia and industrial music and some older analogue sounds. I'm getting used to black metal now (I'm closer to 60 than 50 years old). There are many things on this album that makes my brain jump to many bands fleetingly here and there. There's Stuff that reminds me of early Floyd and early Sabbath, plus some Goblin keys and a bit of Tangerine Dream. More specifically I can also hear Syd Barrett's guitar and Roger Water's screams in some places. That penultimate track reminds me of the bass and drums of The Prodigy, and I can sometimes hear Ministry throughout the whole album. I've listened to it at least two dozen times now, and watched the recent concert nearly as much. Also been enjoying their back catalogue, especially the 17 minute long track called Vaseman ...blah blah John in England 💚🐕🎵🎸🎹✨

@@mkultra4316later on I will be checking out stuff on your KZbin channel 👍😁 I also play guitar, i was originally classically trained and also studied jazz. I did classical recietals on guitar whilst also playing in many bands from punk, metal, psychedelia, experimental, quirky pop and even wierdo dance music. Because I can read music and I'm very very outspoken politically I once got invited to an open audition by Jazz to play with Killing Joke....it was when the late Great bass player Paul Ravens left them, but I'm more of a guitar player really and not familiar enough on bass. I'm disabled now, and can't drive and have complicated physical problems which has stopped a lot of my more demanding playing... But when this covid thing is done I'm hoping to get my electric guitar playing digital and direct online. I'm a bit of a technology dinosaur and my disability also affects my brains ability to assimilate new information and I was going to get help with the digitising ......there's a guitarist who plays for a local Metal-Core band who wants classical guitar lessons in exchange for his help with installation of appropriate technology at my home. His band are called DEFERENCE, and I think they've got about 9 videos on KZbin. The video for "Departure" was mainly filmed by the Southampton estuary at a local park where all our dogs have been, and the bridge at the end is notorious for suicides. My wife works with him at Southampton university, although she's been working at home since March cos of this virus! If you see this in time and are about, my super happy guitarist friend from Florida will be live streaming today in about 30 minutes and I will be in the chat. He is a good laugh and his influences and style are completely different to mine , he played power metal for the singer Rob Rock( along with guitar shredder Rick Renstrom)who now sings for guitar shredder Chris Imperitelli. Name and KZbin name = "Hank Coffey" live stream 4pm British time, occasionally on a Friday. John in England 💚🐕🎸🎵

This is a very challenging album. I'm not the usual black metal listener, but this music compels me to come back and try to absorb it better. The hypnotic and repetitive rhythms, the dissonance, the weird, alien like atmospheres. I felt this way about other bands and artists such as Tool, Meshuggah, Igorrr, Miles Davis, Aphex Twin or Björk (not comparing any of those artists by any means). I digress because I'm high af and this album tingles my brain.

Very few of the commentees seem to have any awareness of who pazuzu is. At first i doubted that the band itself was using more than just a pop culture reference as their name but after doing some basic research i have found that deeper homages in the lyrics and song titles to the demonic entity cannot be denied. The masters claw? Clearly a reference to him. How interesting! Essentially that spells to me that an entire collection of lore about pazuzu now exists in audio format. I would even go so far as to suggest that the entire project is a ritual to pazuzu. Context begs me to reveal that he is the primary entity i work with so this is a positive thing now that i have found how deep and disturbingly complex and beautiful these sounds are to me. Thank you to the band. Hail pazuzu!

"Bazi, as named in the Tell Leilan version of the Sumerian King List, was a king of Mari. The name is followed by that of the succeeding king, Zizi. Bazi's name is preceded by Anbu, his father, who was suspected to have inspired the god Anbu, which later conflated into Hanbu. (Pazuzu's father.) The theory goes that, given the connection between Anbu and Hanbu, it could be that the name Pazuzu is a construction of the following kings names: Ba-zi-Zi-zi." whatever, i think he looks cute. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pazuzu
