I’m studying Agrippa’s Three Books right now, and this serves as a wonderful introduction to Pico and how his thought differs. He certainly sounds like a bright fellow for being in his early 20s. I was also unaware of the banning of his 900 Theses. Shame he died so young. It makes one wonder what sort of lasting influence this kind of thinking had on the mainstream faith-obviously it had an enormous influence in esoteric circles. Thanks, my friend, and all the best.

What is this? Last week I have finally decided to read the Oration. I already read a small part (then I got distracted), and my plan was to finish it this week. When I went to KZbin, this was the first recommended video. I guess this is synchronicity. However, I prefer to read rather than listen. Nonetheless, I wanted to share the small coincidence from my life :)

@@woiowoiow190 I would not be surprised if they have my personal profile in the basement of Langley (or somewhere else, like the Utah Data Center). Not that I am a big threat, but they may use it for some general statistical analysis. In this case, the synchronicity was the fact that he made the video immediately after I started reading the Oration. I don't think than Dan Attrell got a call from Langley to make this video especially for me, to get some synchronicity vibes. Sometimes you do experience interesting coincidences, even on internet. We should not live according to the motto "All hope abandon ye who enter here". :)
@woiowoiow1905 жыл бұрын
raulpr777 agree, the ciber world you can compare it to the already existing life we live day to day, the difference is that you are the user and in control. I witness synchronicity on the daily and at first I thought it was a sign of insanity but today I celebrate its lead so I stay positive and seek peace. Thank you for sharing. Good day mate.

This made me emotional. We have so much potential. I intend to unleash it all, for each of us. And there is a way. My understanding is imperfect yet it was given to me; about the alchemical use of gold. Colloidal gold will restore the spiritual connectivity and permittivity of the collective. If we use it in the atmosphere and our bodies it will generate a magnetic web that alters the plasma received by the sun. It will filter down in a way that helps the magnetic centers of the body and the planet

Mirandola mentions a writing by Ammonius about the sacred names of Apollo - do you happen to know the name of that work? I would like to read it.
@Paraselene_Tao2 жыл бұрын
The only critical remark I have for now is that this reads a lot like a rambling guru of today; however, I think there's some truth in what he describes. His education in philosophy is high, but not impractical for a modern person to learn in about 6 months of concentrated study. In less than 2 hours he talks about quite a lot. I think that's a job well done. Personally, I've had no formal education in philosophy, but I've studied off and on for about 3 years and I'm 28 years old. Mirandola reminds me of Neitzsche, because both often reference other source materials. Mirandola doesn't seem as bitter as Neitzsche though. I don't follow Hermeticism, but I'll read more about it soon. Of course it's remarkable that Mirandola completed this at a young age and back in the 1480's. His philosophy is obviously heretical according to catholicism, but this philosophy is much more commonplace and available now (for those of us who seek it). We certainly live in a society molded by thinkers like Mirandola. Roughly around 1:05:00 he gets into lots of sources for his philosophy. It's great that he lists them out like this. It's like he's handing out homework or recommended readings.

What is the point of this? Secrets secrets and more secrets but nothing ever revealed that is of true practical value. Secrets that taunt and tease like signposts leading nowhere but into an endless series of cul de sacs. Dedication to a goal and relentless hard work is the only hope for man.
@lukehall81515 жыл бұрын
Are you assuming you know what it is you want revealed? I believe he expresses, among other things, the idea that your specifically human faculties and your adaptability are the reason you deserve respect. One way to hear this speech is as an exhortation which says, "Don't let anybody belittle you. Stand up straight, and become ambitious." His message, which can be taken as severe, is that, as the Samurai used to say, it's better to live on your feet than die on your knees. To express the same sentiment, Dr. King said, "a man can't ride you unless your back is bent." So it can be interpreted as a very radical speech, even today, as it says, "Stop obeying and stop fearing other human beings and politico-economic arrangements. Are you going to allow yourself to be a pawn for the rich and famous, or are you going to stand up for yourself and your own dignity? I think he thinks in doing so, you stand up for all of us. ("I'm Spartacus") A scholar might say he has a three step programme, which is, the study of ethics and dialectic together with the refinement of our habits-the pursuit of arts and sciences-and, as a kind of cherry on the cake of life-theology. . . You can see how different his view of the proper conceptual complexity for thoughts about God is than our own: one should not even begin to confront these questions intellectually, until one is both ethical and knowledgeable on a practical level, he seems to say. If only these Dawkins, Hitchens types spent their time PRODUCING scientific work-ah, I'm rambling.

@@lukehall8151 I'm not really assuming anything more expecting. These things are fine and sound wonderful, but their hidden knowledge is just that, hidden! Like a man looking for buried treasure we dig and dig but find nothing of true worth or value so go on living the same miserable unfulfilled lives shuffling across the earth. If these things were designed to purposely tease and torment they could not have done better. What we need is real life changing experience just like the elysian mysteries not empty husks.

@@retribution999 "we find nothing of true worth or value" We? Speak for yourself. I am afraid these things are over your head, and you resent that. How long have you spent studying these things? Do you imagine it is supposed to be easy? No: this is harder than quantumn physics: this is harder than organic chemistry or mechanical engineering. I hate to break it to you. If you're not willing to work, back off. If you're not willing to work, it shows you lack faith and are unworthy.
