Also in this video, the new effect particles for the debuffs applied by some of the new starfighter missiles/torpedoes. They're colour coded and each with a unique effect, from buzz droids to concussion missiles slowing down enemy firerate, you'll easily be able to see which starfighter is debuffed by what effect. That doesn't quite matter on a squadron of 150+ droids, but for normal starfighter combat this should help.

This is pretty cool, but I'm concerned about the viability of these swarms over normal squadrons, won't these swarms be extremely easy to flank? And because the swarm is so huge, won't it have a hard time doing anything about those flanking enemies? Especially since the swarm droids do less damage

Absolutely. The swarm is unweidly, very slow to turn, and each individual unit has less firepower than a "real" version. But, there's so many, that it might not be a problem. Note in the video just how long even one swarm can occupy many, many starfighter squadrons. Even heavily armed ones like TIE Interdictors, armed with dedicated, anti light HE-missiles. The goal is not that they will be maximally effective, but more that the swarm will stay alive even when under heavy fire, occupying all enemy starfighters, and if need be focus down some high-threat ones like bombers so the lucrehulk is free. And when the swarm begins dogfighting the unweidly aspect doesn't matter anymore, as units move as a free-for-all. Meanwhile, that lucrehulk in the back is barraging away at the enemy ships, where it can deal a ton of damage unmolested by all those things you really don't want attacking your capital ships, like ARC-170s and TIE Interdictors.
