I'm fairly confident that you don't need to rotate the shapes going into the center. At the beginning your half squares and circles are rotated 90 degrees from each other even though both are the "right half" of the shape

Yep, you are correct. No extra rotation is need for that layout.

That's correct. The rotation into the vortex doesn't matter in the new 3d world. 🎉🎉🎉

For me, I prefer to rotate them into the exact shape. It makes it easier for me to know I got it correct.

if its like the demo was you just need to produce the shape rotation didnt matter on the demo

You dont need to rotate the shape into the vortex and you can go into the vortex from each level.

The compass is in the lower left corner, so any shape you rotated to the right is rotated wrong

Yeah. The demo showed it of already. That they removed the "orientation" restriction das was stupid. Because it really is no challeng to just add a rotator somewhere. It's just tidiuos.
