Dude you should watch part of the SF6 vods. They complain that they dont know what to do and aimlessly wander around in Story Mode for like 20 minutes. Until someone in chat points out that there is a massive mini map on screen and a bigger map in the menu, and somehow both of them didnt notice that. That entire stream was full of those moments.

@@skeetsmcgrew3282 Both Sonic Adventure games had some pretty good movement mechanics. Spindash, then immediately jump off a slight incline, and you'd fly through the air like a cannonball. SA1 in particular had open enough level design to let you exploit this. Sonic's movement was a good balance of turning and acceleration, and the Jump Dash had an arc that let you keep your momentum going. SA1 Tails and Knuckles were fun to mess around with too, but their levels never did their moveset justice. If you use glitches or mods to get Tails and Knuckles into Emerald Coast, they both have their own unique way to get around the fact that they can't outrun the whale like Sonic can. Sonic Heroes gimped all the potentially fun movesets, because Sonic Team were scared that their sales wouldn't survive off of "core gamers" who enjoyed Sonic Adventure, and they figured a casual children's platformer was the way to appeal to a wider audience. When you read between the lines in all the interviews with Sonic Team devs, I think they knew they couldn't keep the quality up, so they decided to play the long game and forge a fanbase that enjoys the series for its aesthetic and brand power instead of the gameplay. Modern 3D Sonic games are just a formula of design by committee gimmicks and fad chasing pasted over top of the sad barebones framework they keep reusing. Even Sonic Frontiers is no exception to this.

This game's soundtrack absolutely slaps. These devs need to make a full-fledged game like this. Btw, grayfruit, there's a secret ending to the game. I wont spoil everything but suffice it to say it involves the Obol fragments. There's 1 in every level but the factory level (however, there is a secret in that level too, behind a certain key-making machine...). Combined it fleshes out the lore of the game a bit, which is actually quite heavy. P.S. There's also 2 more funny secrets. One is in the hallway right after you open the door with your new arm. The other is in the factory level, you'll need to figure out how to get past the metal rollers you threw the Liqudator into. I'll leave it up to you to figure out how.

"Peeb Adventures" was a game that had a demo in the Haunted PS1 Demo Disk and was made by the same creator. Yes, there was in fact a "Boner" button that made Peeb's noise erect.
