This was my first Orca Encounter show at this park of the year! As such, there have been a few minor changes to the show since I was last here. First, volunteers are being selected from the audience for the Play segment (8:45) again! But the audience still kinda does it with them, so it's a combination of the original volunteer segment and the post COVID volunteer segment.
It was also wonderful to see all 4 segments in this show (around last year, it was common for the Hunt or sometimes even the finale to be skipped). So far this year, it just seems to be a luck of the draw whether you will see all 4 segments of Orca Encounter or not. See below for highlights!

you can tell those whales are low on calcium because of the bend in the top fin

Pretty sure that's from lack of underwater gravity. They are above sea level more than in the wild.

This is a common misconception and it goes to show how deceiving Seaworld’s statement to the public was. Seaworld has stated that they are no longer going to be doing theatrical shows. They are, however, continuing to do “educational” shows.

They aren't doing theatrical shows anymore. Instead they're doing educational presentations.

the presentations that you see are more so training session than anything. yes, they have music, but it’s not timed like one ocean or believe were. instead, the music is for us as humans (the silence would be a bit awkward, don’t you think?).

(Ikr. They are like.) *[Killer whale Kills one trainer]* *Trainers backs away from orca. With their terrified faces* *[after next day]* *[trainers comes near to orca and comforts them. Then continues training them and performance shows.]*

They stopped with theatrical shows so now they do a presentation with a few songs but more information if you look at one ocean it was theatrical with only songs and everything was timed they don't do that anymore
