Richard Harris lived at the Savoy hotel in London for many years, which had a famous restaurant on the bottom floor, when they took him by ambulance for the final time from the hotel right before he died, the crowds for the restaurant were asked to stand aside while they wheeled him past. While he was there waiting for them to open the doors to the ambulance, he looked over the crowd of people, many of whom knew him from movies including the Harry Potter films and he held a single hand up in the air and pointed at the restaurant and said," it was the food!" , than they packed him in the ambulance and he went to the hospital and died. Absolute f***ing legend!

Ive heard of the film, but never seen it. I did a quick google search in regards to the relationship. In the film they make the adult male orca seem like a angry husband/parent, but as stated they don't actually do that. Male orcas are terrible parents. Instead an alternate theory I read is that the adult male is actually the elder son who is angry that its mother and younger sibling both died.

Haha. Funnily enough I re-watched this movie yesterday. Had seen it as a kid and it stayed with me. Especially the foetus scene, the white bearded guy getting plucked off the boat, and Bo Derek's leg. I wondered if it woulda been better for the movie to start with actually seeing Nolan's backstory about his pregnant wife. It would've made him more sympathetic from the get go. Then cut to the present day when he's fishing. Bit I guess it's called Orca so they had to open with a bit of Orca action. I read through every Rotten Tomatoes review. It only had 9%. None of the critics can see beyond calling it a Jaws ripoff. I liked it's more melancholic tone. But how do you have Charlotte Rampling and Bo Derek in a movie and not show their baps? In my book that's creative malfeasance of the highest order (or maybe the version I saw was censored. But if we can handle whale foetus I'm sure the we handle baps). Anyway, a misunderstood gem (the movie, not you).

I'm not saying it's a perfect movie but I always had a soft spot for it because the idea that an animal would have a REASON for its actions beyond hunger and the idea that you are dealing with an animal that is smart was intriguing. The orca being able to plan something was scary in a different way than Jaws. They gradually made the orca's actions less believeable instead of making him a cartoon. I could ALMOST believe an orca could sink the other boats to push the one who he hates out on the water. Later of course it was too much. I agree that this is probably the second best real existing ocean animal attacks movie after Jaws.
