I rarely ever like remakes of movies. Hollywood seems to have run out of ideas for movies. But, it's worth all the remakes just to be able to watch you review them. I get more enjoyment out of your reviews, than the actual movies themselves. As for rats, I think they're adorable. I got bitten on one of my toes, down to the bone, by a rat years ago. I didn't take it personally, like the rat had a vendetta against me or something. So, I'm still not afraid of rats. A friend of mine had a giant rat, which was over a foot long, not counting the tail. My friend wanted me to babysit his 2 year old daughter and the rat. I asked him "Couldn't you take your daughter with you and just let me babysit the rat?" I'm just one of those people, who prefer animals to people, and that includes rats. Lol.
@natp83872 жыл бұрын
The fact this movie barely registered on most people is borderline criminal. I won't say 'Oh, it's magnificent!', but I will say it's very good and does what a remake should: it makes the movie look great using modern material and ideas. More to point, it's excellently written and performed and does a wonderful job of utilizing it's cast.

I still need to actually watch the remake (I REMEMBER the ads for it back in 2003 but never saw it, not even when it was on TV!) but when I watched the original and sequel recently (which I really liked for everything about them), boy, was I thrilled to discover that Ben is every bit as awesome as Beast--if only Brenda had HIM instead of those useless birds, Mars never would've been able to drink HIS blood;) Those two need to be a hero duo in their own crossover... I sure got triggered when Socrates was killed in the original, MAN--plus when Willard was submerging the crates full of rats until the bubbles stopped! I was legit like "NO, rats, LIVE! HOLD YOUR BREATH!" I love how Crispin totally does look a lot like Bruce, both when they're young and in 2003:) NEXT Boots: The Last House on the Left!! PLEASE:):)

I actually watched the original Willard during the month of Halloween, it’s definitely underrated. There’s moments where it can be sweet, funny, dramatic and kinda creepy in places, a great 1970’s creature feature. I never saw the remake but I remember being super intrigued by that cool ass trailer and being creeped out by Crispin Glover as Willard, even though I just watched your review for the remake, I honestly want to check it out. It looks fantastic and it gives me vibes to Tales From The Crypt. 👍🏼 Also I wanted to say that I’m sorry for not being here often, I was grieving weeks ago cause my beloved mother sadly passed away. It was really hard for me and my siblings but more so for me, it was hard keeping a smile on my face and I was in a deep depression and sadness. I’m doing much better than before and I can tell that she wants me to be happy and enjoy the things I love, and she knew that I liked horror films from time to time specially horror comedies anything that acted similar to Looney Tunes (which I grew up with). I wanted to say thank you for always making me laugh and for always being informative with your reviews, I always learn so much about my favorite horror films. Glad there was a new boots to reboots this week because I needed something to help me forget that I just watched Brahms: the Boy 2 last night. The reason I had watched it is because I had watched the first film and liked it because it made the viewer assume the doll was alive and even had a decent twist at the end. The sequel does end on a very good question since it used logic that only a child's play movie would use (except Child's play would do it 10x times better). Aside from that everything about the sequel kinda sucked to a point where you can see the one of the twist coming from like 10 feet away. ( *grabs a bowl and a bottle of Jack Daniels* ) That said time to wipe the memory away with Jack Daniels and films with a Hitchcockian flare.

I have to say what an excellent review I saw Willard the remake didn't even know about it being a remake at the time. It's a pretty good movie Crispin Glover is an amazing actor always thought he could have played an excellent Scarecrow in the Batman movies. Awesome Video as Always

I always thought he’d make an interesting Joker but Scarecrow would be cool too.

I was waiting for a Smashing Pumpkins reference, and was definitely not disappointed. Well played my good man, well played indeed.
