Honest review! Maybe they sent the light to the wrong person. 😅 I happily stick to my TL4800/8000s Bigblue. IMO the biggest bang for the buck. Allthough it it isn´t the sharpest spot. Not to forget my 1300s for the helmet. I´m kinda a bigblue rolemodel. 😅

Good Morning! This was a hard review for me to do because I really do like the light. I get into a lot of zero vis situations though because I’m usually last in the line and filming. There are times though when I literally can’t see anything and the bright white torches make things worse. Believe it or not, sometimes it’s easier for me to just do it in the dark using the lights ahead as guidance. My “thought” was what if the diver in front of me had a nice red, green, or blue, beacon. Unfortunately, it just isn’t bright enough. On the flip side, in clear water and for diver identification at a good distance, it’s amazing… but worth it? The other thing I was really hoping for was a very bright strobe like pulse, but the light isn’t buoyant and once again not bright enough. Fo a night dive though, tied around a single tank valve, say shallow reef, 6M. It would be very good.

@@meridacavediver Corresponds to my experience in bad vis bright lights turn to a disadvantage. Even in normal vis You normally see better through the light of Your buddy. With Your own light You always have the opposing effects making light vs blinding. This turns to extreme in bad vis. I remember my last DPV Cave course test ride where I was last in the line on the way back. Vis below 1 m on some spots speeding behind the others felt like a suiside mission sometimes. My brigt light wasn´t worth for much there. I see Your point with the blinking strobe. Normally I stick but to the cave principal -take only what You need - KISS - which nowhere is so important than with multi tank sidemounting.

@@meridacavediver Imagine my TL8000 I got this Year. That thing is plain too bright on Stage 1. I bought it only for the burntime 4 hourse on stage 2 as hand lamp.

@@meridacavediver That said I known how challenging and important is good light handling. This is where I noticed your good light/filming skills in the first place 😀.
