Orchard orioles loved my grandma's property in southwest Alabama. They would build nests high up in chestnut trees and pecan trees next to her house. As a kid growing up in the late '70s and '80s, I would spend hours outside listening to them.

The very first little chirp at 0:03 in this is what convinced me what I filmed was an Oriole. Thank you!

Every year there is a pair that returns to my back yard here south of Pittsburgh. They don't stay long...they raise one nest of young and by late July they begin their migration all over again.

Saw one for the first time last year . Only saw it for one afternoon. This year we have seen one for the last four days. This one enjoys teasing our pets. Will sit on the frame of our sliding door and prance around in front of the cats. Shows no fear of the dog when we let her outside, sits on the deck and hops around.

I'm about 1 block from Milwaukee's busiest freeway in a wooded area near Milwaukee river & Oak Leaf Bike trail & I've been here 1 hr. Listening to a bird song, trying to identify without seeing. 4 notes first 3 lower than last & last is longer by 2 seconds. Finally saw bird w/ binoculars, looked like a Oriole, but no songs on you tube match. Any suggestions please?🤔

They come every year to my 27 blueberry bushes. They are sexually dimorphic and at first i thought i had two entirely different birds. Had to look them up to see what they are. Very shy they fly off when people show up. Put a trail cam up in your blueberry bushes and you will get some great pictures

I've always had Baltimore Orioles in my yard here in Iowa but not until this summer had I heard or seen an Orchard Oriole. I became interested in it when I heard it's whistle. It sounds like the Looney Tunes dum-dum-dum-de-dum-dum-boop sound at the end of the cartoons. If you whistle that tune, the Oriole will answer you.
