Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - 'Isotype,' Live on Soundcheck

The band OMD - Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - helped define the electronic pop sound of the 1980s. Their catchy, danceable and substantial electronic music blend is built on melody and melancholia, created with keyboards, synths, sexy saxophone and drums. OMD reformed just over a decade ago and picked up where they left off - and they have a new record, "The Punishment of Luxury," which is out on Sept.1.

They passed the torch to Liverpool, and it couldn't have landed in better hands. OMD is the premiere electronic band, surpassing the tired, bored offerings of Erasure and Depeche Mode. I can't believe I'm saying that, but it's true.

100%. The problem is that you'd need several more people on the keyboards here. Not much to see if everything's coming back from a sequencer.
