Very nice to get another Richard Harvey collection. How many dynamic layers do these instruments have? Alot sound like they have 1, but maybe that's just the playing.

Dunno, they are never open about RR count or dynamics :/

@@AlonsoJoaquinComposer What are you even talking about? They have detailed documentation on their website for every library. Although Sangara's documentation hasn't been added so far. If you're unable to navigate through a simple website, maybe the problem is you, not them.

@@AlonsoJoaquinComposer The average for the Stringed Instruments here is 3-4RRs and 2 dynamic layers. Percussion is 3-6 layers for Drums, 2-3 for other perc, and pretty much always 6RRs, sometimes 8RRs. Pitched Perc is 1-3 layers, usually 2, and 2-8 RRs depending on the instrument. Xylophones tend to have have more RRs than metallophones, which have longer note tails. Woodwinds are usually 1 layer (that's what they do), and 3-4 RRs for shorter notes. As @danhun7355 said, there's usually documentation for this, it's just not uploaded yet. But I would like to say here that for libraries like this it's a bit weird to prioritise 'how many dynamics' a patch has over how it sounds. These are not orchestral instruments; they don't produce a gradient of dynamics from ppppp to fffff... some don't produce ANY dynamic differences when played, or when they do it's very subtle, often perceived as mp-mf, or p and mf if you're lucky. That's what these instruments are. Usually the way to get a different timbre (and then maybe a different dynamic) out of them is to play them in a different way, or with a different mallet, or different part of the hand etc. Comments where people make assumptions based on other patches they've played, or other completely different instruments really bug me. Why not google, or even just type the instrument name in right here on KZbin, and actually learn what these instruments sound like, and then make a judgement?

@@danhun7355 Woah calm your horses OT fan! Yes I'm aware of the "Specs and Documents" section, which ironically doesn't have any documents. You'd know if you had read it yourself. Anyway, it's devoid of any actually useful info on how these instruments were sampled and put together

@@AlonsoJoaquinComposer Point is, all information about rr and dynamic layers can be found on their website, so they are quite open about it.

How many dynamics and round robins, also no damped releases? This is a must-do for an instrument in 2023 :/

The dynamics on all of the instruments are different. Some of them have up to 3 (stringed instruments), some have less. It really depends on what the instruments are capable of. Round Robins are plenty. You can find damped releases with the staccato, portato etc. articulations
