HOW TO CROSSFADE BETWEEN ARTICULATIONS Keep in mind that the various MIDI CC# are listed in the manual but the correct one should be highlighted after Step 4, below. 1. Switch from Mono to Poly KS 2. Select the different articulations by holding down the keys on your midi controller, turning them green. 3. Select the radio button for CC XFade 4. Alt-Click CC XFADE 5. Now, this is where the "Listen" button is blinking. Ignore that. Instead, go to Browse Parameters or similar in your Kontakt wrapper. 6. Scroll down until you see MIDI CC 22. Keep in mind there may be other numbers (lots) before that, and make sure it's the actual MIDI CC# 7. Right-Click that MIDI CC and select "Link to controller" and now it should work. The same should work for the other Poly KS options. You maybe have to experiment with the 2D Crossfade with four different articulations. Last note: I've had to figure this out a few times now simply because I do not use it all the time. Might be a good idea to copy this text and save it for a later time. I hope this helps.

@@nicolasmolla5014 In the upper left corner of the Kontakt wrapper is an arrow that opens a menu. The Browse Parameters option is in there. It may be situated differently in different DAWs, but it's the general plugin options for the DAWs wrapper, and not Kontakt itself. I hope that make sense. Also, I haven't done this in a while because sometimes it's easier to have two or more separate instances of Kontakt (one for legato, another for tremolo, for example) and then use volume automation clips to fade between them where desired.

I did not notice any particular UACC mapping feature like in Spitfire Albion. So I can see the exact CC number that can be used in the expression map. Faders that slowly slide from one articulation mode to another is nice but it's good for live performance, not for programming the track

Why the keyswitch alway sound weaker than the single articulations??? when you play the legato of a keyswith plays at 2 voices, but the same instrument on the single articulation sound at 4 voices

Great video guys! I just noticed one small detail. At around 2:04 there's a small typo. I think you meant to say that you hold down SHIFT and click on the arrow to set the keyswitch range at the low C on a keyboard, but you hold down CTRL and click on the arrow to set the it right below the playable range. At the moment it says "strg" instead of CTRL.

"Strg" is the German key name on the "Ctrl" key of a German keyboard.

I've tried poly kS system CC xfade mode with cresc, decresc, and sustain articulations, on "Contrabassoon Euphonium & Tuba Multi" patch of Metropolis Ark. But it didn't work as I expected. Sometimes only 2 of 3 pressed articulations was recognized by KS system, and sound didn't continue as I need. I wonder the articulations I tried were not propper to play with poly KS or there was something else I missed.

Hi Yera Lee. If you go to options (9 squares), then select 'Multi Articulation Settings' and select MI - Y Fade & MI - X Fade / Switch you should be able to edit. Hope this helps! Best, OT
