Thank you for showing us the orchid room. In the next few years, my husband and I will be retiring, most likely moving to a climate with long winters, Michigan-USA. As a way to cope with the winter, I’m imagining having a home with a solarium, and I want it to have orchids and other plants as a break from the winter. I currently have a very small orchid collection about 13 of them. I’m trying to learn from you how to create the proper environment and imagining what it could be! Thank you so much for inspiring me!

Wao what a room full of goodies you have, with matching decorative pots & shelves even. That's quite an investment you have over there, & then some with your aquariums too.

Oh Danny, you have so much space for your orchids, I'm so jealous 😅 Maybe one day I'll have a similar room... Maybe... Your growing room would be a pocket paradise for me and I'm sure it's the same for you too. Hi Danni! I LOVE the new grow room tour video!! I especially love the cloud forest cabinet and the new orchidarium. I have a plant wall that I built with those huge felt pocket plant walls, a frame, and backing and a gutter at the bottom to collect the water that runs down through. I have orchids and some other tropical plants in it and I have been using an automatic watering system with it for several years now. The water comes from my water garden that is below it that has fish and tropical pond plants that I over winter from my outdoor pond. It helps with water changes as well as watering the plants. I love it cause I’m busy and lazy. 😂😂. Also, just fyi, I always watch your videos all the way to the end. Love them!

I got my first set of Barrina lights to test out on my setup. I like them so far. I have adenium and a plumeria overwintering under my Sansi grow light bulbs and they're growing like crazy. I bought their 4 light gooseneck clamp lights. Sansi is full spectrum. I joined my local orchid society and attended their annual auction. I got a mounted Phal. Mannii 'black' honey bee, Phal. violacea x coerulea 'indigo' seedling, Pot. Little Circle, Onc. Tsiku Marguerite. I've never had a Cattelya type orchid before. I was glad to see yours doing well under grow lights as I don't have any bright windows.

The cloud forest orchidarium and the reptile tank orchidarium was actually the set up I was thinking ages ago when it comes to making more a "cool" house by using more humidity and airflow to make more the wind chill effect. Hopefully they do end up working.

Hi Danny, thank you for sharing your beautiful orchid room. It's so fantastic! Questions, how do you provide circulation inside the glass cabinets? Do you leave the glowing lights 24 hours?
@lindaamstutz420810 ай бұрын
Can you talk about your lights? Are they available generally? Are they special grow lights or ???

Hi Danny thank you for this great video!! Question on your pot for the Golden Peacock - it has a daisy pattern. Where did you get it from? I really like your pots and wonder if they can be ordered online somewhere?
@christineflygirl11 ай бұрын
Really cool setup with the humidifier cabinet... I am anxious to see the new terrarium/orchidarium... Do you use the Barrina lights inside? I am just worried about electric lights and high humidity. Or do you use special grow lights for aquariums?
@90skid9711 ай бұрын
Wow amazing, I didn't know you had discus fish. Probably my favorite along side bettas. Your aquariums looks epic, keep it up. Although hard to see on a quick video, it seems the flow is a bit high on your betta tanks, as in terms of their swimming capabilities. They often live in barely moving water and are not the greatest swimmers, specially the way we have bred them. No critique, just a simple suggestion.

I see you have 2 ft barrinas with 1ft barrinas all pushed together to have 4 solid rows across the width of your vittsjo shelf. How do you get it to fit so tightly together with the connecting cords that daisy chain it all together? I would love to copy your setup for my neverblooming catts and I already have 2 ft barrinas and the vittsjo. Please tell me your secret!!
