Absolutely stunning plant(s) Jason. Congratulations, on the impressive results, of your breeding. Honored, to be close enough to stop in anytime, for an up close and personal look at the flowers you’ve perfected. Keep up your great work - creating these majestic orchids. I look forward to adding one of these seedlings to my collection. Karen

Great video and great specimen!!!! What as the name of the media that you mentioned you use for the Phragmipedium. Kovachii , the one that offers more aeration?
@OrchidWebTV5 жыл бұрын
Adrian RJ , two different products offer great aeration. Growstone and Grodan grow cubes. Currently growstone is no longer being produced so as an alternative coarse perlite grade #8 is probably best. Thanks!

I need your thoughts on urea because you said it’s been linked to pseudomonas in orchids. Could you elaborate how did you get that information. Happy growing from your PhalPal Durrell

Very beautiful! Love that colour and shape! How long a bloom will last on phrg.kovachii?
@OrchidWebTV5 жыл бұрын
MaryG Orchids typically they last about 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the temperature. Cooler temps prolong the life of the flower, and the longest I’ve seen is 6 weeks on this particular plant!
@marygorchidsmore20585 жыл бұрын
^ weeks is wonderful, although I would take 2-3 weeks too if I could get my hands on one of those! I have a tiny seedling hybrid of it (Kovakii X besii) and trying to grow it. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous bloom. @@OrchidWebTV

Hi Jason, I’m wondering if you add any form of calcium to your phrags? Cindi Sweet
@OrchidWebTV4 жыл бұрын
Cindi Hinnendael both calcium and magnesium are in our green jungle fertilizer. You can also use Cal Mag fertilizer to supplement those essential minerals.

OrchidWeb is in Minnesota. In Minnesota, and the USA, most people measure in inches. Please please tell measurements in both inches and centimeters !!
@linthoisanayumnam43765 жыл бұрын
2.54 cm= 1 inch.
@OrchidWebTV4 жыл бұрын
marksletters haha just saw this message. Universally in the orchid world we use centimeters as a measurement because the American Orchid Society and other worldwide organizations use it for judging orchids. But yes, I’ll try to remember and mention inches as well 😁
