Since I've been following you, the new leaves on all of my orchids are so shiny. I'm sure it's because of your magic potions. :-) I do not have any in water culture anymore. They do love the New Zealand sphagnum moss! Thank you for all of your tips. :-) Tammy in N AL.

Hi I am in Vancouver I have a new spike from a water culture, so exciting. I kept for almost two years but no flower. May I know, what should I do now? Fertilize or ?? By the way, do you want some more orchids which were after bloomed?

Hi! I'll be releasing a new updated video on my water culture care tomorrow. I give my fertilizer recipe and lots of care tips. Happy growing!

Amy, this plant looks amazing! So happy for you! 💜🧡 Now is middle of March, i need to put few of my WC phals in the moss, do you think I should wait till May or i can repot then now? Thank you.

Hi Linda and thanks so much for your sweet comment! I think it will be fine for you to repot your Phals in moss now, as long as it's not still cold where you live. Happy growing! :)

Love watching your videos. I have a question about roots. Black roots in water culture - are they ok or not? I have some black roots but the leaves and flowers seem to be ok, but I've heard from others that if the roots are black then they are dying and they need to be cut off and moved to media. What's the story on this?

Hello ! I have the same problem on 2 orchids in my collection....what should I do ?
@OrchidWhisperer5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jo Ann and Catherine! If the roots are squishy and turn fuzzy in water, then trim them. If not, then I would leave them on the plant. Happy growing! Amy

Do you use "Leaf Shine"? I know you mention in one of the videos a bit of soap and water on paper towels but do you use Leaf Shine on your orchids?
@OrchidWhisperer5 жыл бұрын
Hi! No, I don't use Leaf Shine on my orchids. I'm thinking it could clog the pores in the leaves. Happy growing!

what is water culture ? Thank you
@OrchidWhisperer5 жыл бұрын
Hi! Water culture is a growing method that uses water as a medium instead of moss or bark. I have a playlist about water culture, here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHezo4Rva5d9hNE Happy growing!
