Fantastic battle report once again. I think the DE player should have been more aggressive with the Lord on the dragon - it didn't seem to do much at all. Well done for a good performance and good tactics against a hard army.

Yeah for sure , 2 dragons, you just send them in as fast as possible , they can take out any unit they want , then reform and got after another one , or 2. No way to stop 2 dragons.

Lists like that is why I never compete. I teach high school, and kids don't listen or learn til they get bit in the ass...if the admin and parents let it happen; so do not feel guilty about using the Wind Blast. You should've used it the first time.

Yeah , but it would have been a "gotcha" moment , I hate that sort of thing , and then when I did do it , I miscast , so I would have looked stupid , even more stupid than usual 😥😂😁😅😳

Great work with these mini battle reports fella. Lovely looking orc army aswell. 👍🏻. I was wondering how the 1 armed dragon got out of the great Kieths charge arc and managed a full 180 to set up a charge on your other goblin unit.?

True, but he didnt have a painted army and didnt know all the rules , so it would have been pretty mean to do , but I did try later on and failed 😬

Sad to see you fall victim to Dragonhammer. I'd like to see tournaments implement the following rules as a slight nerf: "When a character mounted on a behemoth or monstrous creature suffers wounds equal to that of its mount alone the mount is killed and removed from play, the character remaining as a dismounted figure. Points for the dead mount are included in the victory points tally even if the character that rode it survives".

Yeah , we have all have great ideas on how to fix it , bring things like Dragons and Peg Knights back to the pack. I think we all just want infantry blocks to be better. +1 for outnumbering +1 close order for Infantry of 5 or more models only. ( no close order bonus for dragons etc) rank bonus up to +3 for infantry Must choose Ward or Regen save , cant use both. Behemoths +1 to hit from shooting Many more tweaks we could suggest , I dont think anyone is listening. I really hope GW are awake and want to improve the game. We are enjoying the game , but it needs some repairs.

Thanks , great army choice 👍 As for Dragons , we don’t have any easy solutions, no army has any answers. Best thing to do is isolate the dragon and limit the damage and points it kills. If they have 2 Dragons then we are all in trouble 😩😩😩 Don’t send the Wyvern in to fight it he will die, use your army to kill everything else.

It's a just an old rag cut to shape then I painted some orcy type runes and stuff on it , easy to do. Then some washes over it to make it look old and worn.

I have to commend you for not using wind blast against a Double dragon dark elf list. I would have explained wind blast at the beginning of the game and the FAQ ruling on it. But then used it. It's a tournament game, your opponent needs to learn positioning better by suffering the consequences.

Yeah , I should have warned him at the start of the game , my fault. I had a lore familiar and chose the spells for my Goblin Oddnob. So when the it came up I didn’t take the opportunity to use it , but then he left him on the edge again so I tried and miscast , it was a funny moment in the game. Game was won or lost on a single casting roll. That doesn’t come up often.

@CreakyGamers It was an epic failure moment from the Goblin though, very Orc and Goblin. I suppose a lot of the choice whether to explain it or not would come down to the mentality of the players in the tournament. I would have used it the first time after explaining it... my justification that I'd already told him and then he made the mistake.

Serious competitive lists only ever use exactly the bare minimum 500 points of core units. 😂 jk

Only all Elves, both Dwarfs, Empire, Ogres and maybe Lizardmen that have the problem with core.

Some armies have better core than others , but I think there should be a smaller % allowance for characters.

Why would anyone go to an event with UNPAINTED minis? I see this all the time, hobby half assing . That one armed dragon on on a proper base is unforgivable, I would refuse to play against it
