When you use one of those long gold separator/filters/driers you should have it held vertically and make sure the little grey balls are at the top and you fill from the bottom. They're the molecular sieves and will suck up water pretty fast. It looks like yours may be saturated already. Also, there should be a small section at the bottom of that separator tube for the water to collect so you can keep it away from the mol. sieves.

Keep up giving reviews and guidance.... just purchased the compressor and big filter using your link :) I'm a first time PCP owner so trying to learn as much as I can. Question about the DOT specification for the tank... is it marked on the tank? what does it say? Could you do a tutorial on filter maintenance, media replacement and general consumables?

Not DOT marking on the tank. In my case (and likely many folks') it's of zero concern because I'll never have someone else fill the bottle and if I did they probably wouldn't even look for DOT, only for hydro dates. Speaking of which I will probably never hydro test it either.

@@airshootist Just an update. I did purchase this tank and it came with a DOT certification (paper cert, tied to tank serial number). The date of manufacture is November 2023, so not too old. Thanks again for your channel with guidance to all... without ads. Wishing you continued NRL22 success.

A while ago, you also did a review on the Vevor air compressor that has the dual fans for cooling, I just got my 1st PCP Gamo Coyote the 1st week of October and have been using a hand pump, but that is a lot of work, I need to get a compressor and I'm considering the Vevor, i really like the fact that the Vevor has the 2 cooling fans. These 2 compressors look to be the same in what they can do. My question to you is, what one do you like the best and why??

Hi, I purchased the Orcair model NG001 compressor which is the lower priced model compared to the Thunder. From what I understand I was told this compressor can fill up a 3L tank for my PCP air rifle. Is there any advantage to owning the Thunder compared to what I have? Mine was $185.00. How long would it take to fill a 3L tank?

How many fills will it give your FX gun?

It'll decline a bit under 250 after the first fill or two but NRL22 matches have 5 stages and I refill after each. There are usually two bonus stages and I refill after those also, but by that time I'm only getting like 220 bar max. I carry a backpack with me and now I'll have two tanks in it for double the fills.

I tested this by running the large gold filter into a small little filter. If I have only the small filter on the compressor, the filter materials inside it are always damp after even 1 fill. So I put the little filter after the big gold filter and checked the little filters internals afterwards - completely dry.

I picked up 2 small carbon fiber tanks the same size at the flea market 3 years ago for 8$ for both. The lady was getting rid of her ex boyfriends paintball stuff. Works great out hunting in my CamelBack. Bet her ex is mad at her😂😂

that is actually pretty fast for a shoebox compressor on such a big tank. Most shoeboxes can't even fill such a large volume tank.
