Having Dash use a flamethrower to knock out IG-88 was ingenious. In a way it's like taking a flamethrower to the nightmares that droid gave all us kids who grew up with the game and taking sweet vengeance on it.

I wish this was a real game! That is, the "Shadows of the Empire remastered" version. It would be so cool to play this timeless classic again with updated graphics and gameplay. In any case, IG-88 is one of my favorite droid characters from the old (real and not disney) SW world. When I was 7 years old, I saw him for the first time in the movie, then I met him in this game, on the N64 console. This creepy Boss was burned into my memory as well as many other players. But that's exactly why I liked this character. The penultimate level, Coruscant's sewers and the Dianoga fights weren't as scary as this assassin droid. Then later I read "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" by Kevin J. Anderson. This made me like IG-88 (and Boba Fett next to him) even more. This robot is the perfect killing machine in my eyes, it's a pity that it has so little role in the live-action movies. Disney's IG-11 roughly illustrates what IG-88 would be like in action (but unfortunately IG-11 is not the real one, moreover, they made her a dry nanny, i.e. baby Yoda's caretaker - only the baby bottle was missing, and that doesn't really fit a real for assassin droid). In any case, Dash Rendar was almost at Superman level in my eyes - which I think is nonsense. He defeated half the empire and the Black Sun, fought Wampas, easily defeated Boba Fett, IG-88, giant Dianogas, Xizor's giant Gladiator droid and all as a mere human mortal without using any force powers while still being almost unscathed himself got away with these battles. To this day, I don't understand how he was able to do these things by himself, in which I think even Solo would have bled to death.

Thank you! The whole superhuman Dash thing was one of the reasons I made him force-sensitive in my ‘Rendar Saga’. It just makes that all the more believeable, but also leads to more stories down the line.
