I've never been that envious of your M3s lovely as they have been, but being a B5 and B7 RS4 fan I love AWD and wide body estate looks (something current RS4 doesn't really deliver) of this so I'm massively tempted - however the fact I can't afford one means I don't have to worry about how owning one would mean rebranding my channel 😁😁

I agree Andrew, I think the current RS4 they have cocked up the spec/colours - It's a shame one can't duplicate my old Sprint Blue B7 RS4, which is now somewhere in Australia or New Zealand. As an aside, pricing is bonkers these days.

haha I'm the same. Looked at the RS6 and thought that was the beast to have. Then realised it wasn't and the RS4 was the better car, albeit I don't like the screen. Then found BMW doing basically an RS4 but better, but I must admit I prefer the old dash and not that curved screen setup. Then watched his vid comparing the two and saw the RS4 was better at low torque. I as well can't afford one but if I had to choose it's very difficult lol

Great spec Joe. Dravit is just stunning. I had it on my m340i touring and went out of my way to have dravit again when I traded in for an m440i. Now have an x3 m40i with Brooklyn grey only because I couldn’t get it in dravit! Also, what a guy Tony is! So genuine

It’s the best colour. Love my 3 series m sport pro touring in Dravit. Looks amazing with the black wheels.

Can you guys compare it to the Mineral grey? I had it on my 2018 3 series and absolutely loved it with black wheels. I only saw two BMWs with the dravit on and somehow it looked a bit cheap, like plastic 🤔

What's surprised me about some of the current BMW M colours is that on their configurator they look very dark, but in the flesh, particularly in bright light, look very, very shiny and sparkly metallic. The IOM green is exactly like that which is putting me off it a bit as I'm planning this car to be a keeper and I"m not sure how that colour will age

I have ordered and spec'd my BMW M3 Touring back in July (Yup you read that right July) I had to go to the dealership and configure it there, as the public on-line configurator was not available, I was told I am first on the list by my dealership, but as of today, I still no idea as to when it should be arriving

Have to say I'm in love with your config. Maybe because my 340d g21 has basically identical spec ;) Dravit grau, full m performance visuals, works perfectly well with upgraded red brake calipers and rotors from M performance. And like you fully in love with that color and the way how it changes shades every time it catches different light.

Same, love my g20 in Dravit. But in most light conditions it sadly shows swirls so noticeably. Went with Portimao for my next car.

Leatherzzzzz! This video highlights why the M3 premium over the M2 is justified. The customisation options are extensive and makes the car feel more like "Your car". Might as well order one before the options are sunk and the M3 becomes a full EV.

You’ll see that in about a year. I’m still waiting for my M4 comp to arrive to the UK. Non individual paint and ultimate pack and that’s it. I ordered after it went into production and 3 months later I’m still waiting with no update. Anyone have any problems like this?

As it was rightly said in this video, the M3 Touring looks good in any color. The chosen combo is very very nice. The Touring is probably not the ideal candidate for that, however I could imagine Mr BMW M, aka Joe, in an "official M" traditional set of colors, white with the 3 M stripes (e9 batmobile style). It is of course a bit too much. Yet that would be the beacon of the channel.

great video, really enjoyed taking in the detail. Really helpful for anyone buying. I dont think tanzanite blue paint is too hard to keep in good shape if you get it kicked off with paint protection and wash carefully. Agree though if you dont enjoy washing car its worth a miss. My TB saloon has had way more attention than my long beach blue M2. Regarding ultimate pack its a blessing if buying second hand like i did, I dont want to interrogate the options lists in ads for days. Easy way to buy a car that has all the options you really want and maybe some you just ignore if you dont like. I can see how if not buying the ultimate pack you are going to be checking at what point the costs line up. I am glad I have a 2021 car. It seems its harder to get all the trim bits/standard features without more options ticked.

Joe, no doubt your M3 touring is going to be great, but one issue with it (as with many recent BMWs) is the weight of the thing! By all accounts it's about 1,865kg, which is not only a significant 150kg heavier than the RS4 Avant, but only 30Kg lighter than the M5 Competition! Not sure why BMW have taken their eye off the ball when it comes to weights their cars (even the 'little' M2 is 1700kg). Any thoughts?

Sir - as one of the few that have driven both the new M2 and the new M3 - would you be willing to do a video specifically on the topic of new M2 vs new M3? Or even the new M2 vs your current M3 with the hard infotainment buttons? I am worried the new idrive 8 and screen situation in the new M2 is going to be a huge detriment to its future value.
