Thanks, Lisa, as always for sharing your knowledge with us and for being such an amazing teacher. I was looking for a good online sticker shop here in Germany and thanks to this video I have found it because the one you have used as an example also has a German website so yeaaah for that🎉🥳🍾🎊

This video made me so excited to try printing my own stickers! I have a series of illustrations I plan to make into stickers and now I’m not nervous about how I’ll go about printing them! Thanks!

Oh my goodness I have been going absolutely NUTS trying to figure out how to do all of this. As well as the headache of navigating color profiles and still getting vibrant colors when printing. Most videos make it much more difficult than it clearly needs to be. You are the best!!! Thank you so much for this video! Concise, informative, super helpful. Yay 🖤

If I convert to CMYK I just boost the saturation and maybe the brightness and that tends to but not always helps. It makes things better for deep reds but worse for magentas, I’ve still not mastered fixing magenta quickly

Thanks for a great series on sticker making, Lisa! I have a Question: You showed the finished full-size printed sticker sheets you received in your order from Stickerapp. Will you cut them out by hand, or is there a way now to use your Cricut machine to cut them out?
@CatieMuse3 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure the sticker sheets come the same way as what you buy at the store. Since the site adds cutlines, I imagine it’s that they’re pre-cut and you can lift them right off the sheet.
@BardotBrush3 жыл бұрын
This was just a way for me to order more different designs. If I had to do it again I would design them as sticker sheets that you could cut apart.
@JeanneSullivanDesign3 жыл бұрын
@@BardotBrush I don't think I made myself clear enough, Lisa...I understand about you adding a variety of sticker designs on one sheet to get more choices on the one sheet. But, from the video it wasn't clear enough for me to see any pre-cut lines around the printed sticker edges where you could peel off each one. It looked to me like it was just one solid printed sheet but without the outer cut lines. That's why I was wondering about how you planned to cut them out. So, they were pre-cut and ready to peel off?
@BardotBrush3 жыл бұрын
@@JeanneSullivanDesign ahh I see! Yes the stickers were kiss cut, meaning they were cut through the sticker material, not the paper backing. You can peel them off easily.

This 3 part series was fantastic Lisa. So thorough. It must have taken so many hours to put it all together! I was wondering if you had considered looking at any of the print on demand options like Printify? The initial cost is likely to be higher but they take care of packing and shipping to the customer etc (resulting in more art-making time)!
@BardotBrush3 жыл бұрын
I agree, if you are a business print on demand is SO beneficial. You make less money but it’s way less work. I’ve used Printful before and it was great.

This video was so helpful! I’m in the process of creating sticker sheets with stickerapp. Did you use rgb with your sticker sheets as well?
@BardotBrush2 жыл бұрын
Yes I did. Know the color will never be as saturated as the RGB on your screen but a little more saturated than with CMYK. I always recommend test ordering something so you know how colors match up.
@mysupervideoful2 жыл бұрын
@@BardotBrush Thank you so much! I created a test run already in cmyk but will do so in rgb to see results.

Can anyone help me please? When I use the Gaussian Blur method of outlining I get a really fuzzy, pixelated outline. I'm using a 5000 x 5000 canvas so I am having trouble understanding what I am doing wrong. Blur goes up to 20-25% - Lisa's outline was beautiful and smooth. Mine looks like someone has hacked it with a pair of blunt scissors :-(
@michellew.98193 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if this helps but I’ve noticed that the higher the blur is, the more pixelated the blur outline will be. Depending on what you are trying to outline, I think you can get away with a much lower blur (like 5-12%). I usually only use a blur at 25% if I’m outlining words. Also, once you go to select, the lower the selection, the rougher the outline will be (I think it grabs less pixels). Hope that helps!
