1:46 - “lifting each other up and not judging each other, like we do here…” 7:47 - “winners hang out with winners, losers hang out with losers.” You lost me here. “Winners” are NEVER “winners” when viewed globally. Same goes with “losers.” I listened to this podcast, and I felt like so much of the friendships advocated were effectively transactional friendships. You aren’t “coming alongside people” as much as you are recruiting a team. You aren’t allowing yourself to be mentored, helped, and cared for if you aren’t doing that for others and at times, that is a drain AND THATS A GOOD THING!!! Sometimes we’re all “losers,” and it would be really shitty if my friends dumped me when I was struggling because I had more need than supply in some areas of my life at particularly dark times.

Forming relationships, relatively simple, but by no means easy starting from scratch.

"Show me your friends and I will show you your future. " I know several high value men and I gotta tell you as I listen to you today I think of them and why I lost touch with them and feel like the closeness I had is different. Because I'm the one "stuck".

May I ask "stuck" in what sense? Why do you think you're stuck???

@@travisstorbakken1737 Sounds like you may have the same difficulty I've had of finding your "why" aka the reason you're doing or not doing what you promised yourself-- even internally???

I've had a hard time motivating myself consistently to do the sit-up exercise consistently that will tighten up my abdominal muscles and automatically make me look thinner but I've lacked the self-discipline and I now think the right kind of reminder to overcome the inertia of a sedentary childhood where no one really seem to care enough to encourage me to be diligent about the value of doing that "core building work" that makes getting older that much easier to do. I've finally found the right challenge phase: Dare to "eat the frog today" that will see me have the well-toned abdominal muscles I've always wanted but was too afraid to pursue because it wasn't what everyone around me was doing. To me that kind of "reasoning" is unacceptable now. It's an excuse that I conned myself into believing so I could try and "fit in" to some kind of average person mold. I don't need it anymore and it is not beneficial to me long-term so I've replaced it with dare to eat the frog. Eating the frog refers to doing the most difficult or distasteful, and perhaps most necessary thing I should do but haven't been because of outdated early childhood programming. I can no longer afford to think that way, period. End of statement. Full Stop.

I often wonder if people always worked independently whether or not many people would actually have friends that weren't in some way connected to their work??? I personally like the idea of helping/mentoring the worker below me in experience or seniority as I am being mentored by someone with potentially more knowledge and experience than me.

My question is: why are male friendships rooted in badmouthing, Fighting, down tearing of accomplishments? We should uplift, support, and cheer each other on. It's not a sign of femininity or weakness. Not everything is a competition.

Aligning myself with "winning individuals" can I think be a very problematic endeavor unless you first do the personal growth work necessary to help you define who it is you are now and who you want to be in the future??? I think most entrepreneurs are by nature people who are in the habit of blazing/breaking their own trails. It's always tough to be the first to break trail... nobody will ever do it the way I should for my particular set of circumstances and my individual character and personality. The "average person" isn't worried or even thinks about his/her own unique and best way to address the needs of their society or culture. They're too busy caught up in the "thick of thin things" aka "the paper chase" or the acquisition of money or degrees. The real breakthroughs come from unique individuals willing to trust in themselves and their own ideas rather than trusting in things, status or other people who supposedly know better than you how to do something. So, I guess the question is how much do believe in and trust yourself???

The term of Average of 5 people, does that translate to the 2 podcasts I listen too? + say neighbour 3 , school friend 4 etc? Just wondered about that dynamic?

The whole "in shape" thing sounds weird, like you're looking for dates. I've got disabilities so does that rule me out? The best friends I ever had were from BJJ- Judo- Martial Arts. Too bad I can't physically do those things anymore. Thanks.

Man, revitalized womanhood has less than 200 views on her oldest video. It's almost like most women don't care about self improvement

This is ableist as one person with disabilities pointed out. And you seem to have all the answers, but somehow miss that your own meritocratic ideology of value adding and business owning, weight lifting fighting etc, is not at all inclusive of men as a whole, only the ones you are marketing to. This is just a 20 minute ad for your brand.

Real emphasis on transactional friendship - at least that's the tone. Sounds like nobody wants to have friends just for the pure fun of having friends
