This is very helpful and I want to thank you for this video. I’m trying my best to have meaningful friendships with other men. I’m married now and it’s different because some of my friends had a different life than I did. I’ve been thru traumatic experiences and now I’m being careful and alert by the men I encounter. I understand you have friends on different levels and most importantly there are boundaries.

Thanks for this video. I've learned so much from your takeaways. Coming from a different culture Asia, now that I'm in Europe and gained a few friends (I really filter who I become friends with due bad past experiences), I've come to understood their culture here and I'm doing my best to also embrace the culture and learn things I haven't experienced before. This actually helped me realised things so far with my current friendship with my male friends here in France. Merci beaucoup!

I’m really having challenges in this area of my life. I don’t want to feel too needy reaching out though I desire male friends a lot. Most time I feel really awkward reaching out. How I do get quality male friends without being too needy

So not emotional and intimate, it sounds like coworkers friends... Everything is so selfish, revolves around self and physical needs. I don't think I would be interested in this kind of friendship

@@JurrienMusic The way he talks about friends being beneficial to carrier or projects, reminds me of people who save business cards of people by their specialization, just to call them when they need specific advice, connections, protection.. only in this case, since they are "friends" this service will come free

This doesn't happen anymore It's awesome insight, but it just doesn't happen. Most men just want to talk about meaningless stuff and avoid anything that is outside their core group or in a group setting. I honestly don't have the energy anymore to invest in other potential male friends. The energy, time, and resources aren't reciprocal so I stopped altogether. I now just respond to those who take the initiative.
