The plum seed is called a Saladito. You can suck it for a while. Very sour! They want you to scoop pieces of the mango and lick it as well. Sometimes people put the sour plum seed in a orange, grapefruit or lemon. Fun video!

It’s fun to see how you are so expressive about eating this rather different candy. As a Mexican, I’m used to just seeing kids over here eating these thing without any expression, it’s just very mundane, and I find funny how you are shocked or surprised at these flavors. Really enjoyed the video! Stay safe guys, we love you. By the way, there are lots of other Mexican candy you are missing out on, for example there’s this thing called “Cocadas” which is basically a chunk of shredded coconut sticked together and it usually has different colors depending on the flavor, like a yellow mango one, pink strawberry and many more

Pelones and Pulparindos are the entry candies that we give to our children in Mexico to prepare them for more spicy candy. My 5-year-old tried them when he was 3, and then slowly move to more "aggressive stuff". I still love them, because they taste like childhood

I was so excited to see the title of this video. What’s great about SoCal, you can get most of these snacks from any grocery store. You’ll usually see the De La Rosa Mazapan and Jarritos in stores. Also Mandarina is the BEST Jarritos. You guys should try different flavors.

The salted plum is great in a Michelada. I guess in Mexico they put gummy candy, Chamoy, Tajin, a straw with Tamarindo candy coating on the straw and different bases like Clamato in beer. They are sooo good. I have even seen people top them off with shrimp.

some hacks to improve the quality of your snacks!! 1. throw some gansito's in the refrigerator & eat them when they're chilled. I swear they taste so much better 2. spread some peanut butter on one side of the Marias cookie & place another cookie on top & bang!! It’s made in Mexico but all Hispanics grow up eating that. I’m Guatemalan and that’s what I grew up with here in LA lol ;) you can find them all at Latin American Markets too, they’re not that foreign in the states. So if you run out, you can always get more.

Most of this you can buy at Food 4 Less, El Super, Vallartas or small local Mexican Markets. The Saladito you're supposed to suck on and it dries out your mouth so you eat the mango puree off the spoon to balance it out as the dried plumb slowly reconstitutes. But when I was a kid down in San Diego we'd buy packs of the saladitos and just suck on those on hot summer days and drink tang with them.

You guys were hilarious on this episode!!😂😂😂. I have a tip on the Slaps candy. Put it in the fridge for a while, until it hardens up so the candy doesn't melt in your hands. I also take the stick off and roll up the Slaps and take bites out of it. The blue Slaps are my favorite. They have a spice to it. Kitra, don't be scared to eat some of our candy, its delicious as you seen. Peter (Pedro in Spanish), I think you're part Hispanic. You really seemed to love most of our candy. Good job! I just found this classic gem on y’all’s channel. I grew up in Mexico City eating most of those snacks , and drinking some of those sodas. You should make another video trying even more Mexican snacks . Gansitos also come in snack sizes cake form . You should try those . Swap Meets are wonderful places to find food. They do the fruit with chili on top and Mexican Fair Corn or maybe you have Pozole at the food truck. OMG I miss the Swap Meet XD The Rebanadas are truly one of the things I get ever time I see them. I love that snack so much.

Bimbo is a bread company in Mexico. It's a brand. They have really good products. Gansitos translates to little geese. Thats a round version of thee original. Thee original Gansitos are Twinkie shaped. I love those too!

Duvalin used to have a small spoon but for some reason, they don't have them anymore probably because kids would accidentally or unknowingly eat them. but I could be wrong. Also fun hack: try stacking the maria cookies in a cup then pour some milk, crack the cookies and enjoy.

Those goat milk Obleas look pretty much like the Mexican equivalent of Stroopwafels, which also have a caramel like center between two very thin wafers. Because of the thinness, what I do with a Stroopwafel is make a hot cup of tea, coffee, cider, hot chocolate, etc., and put the cookie on top of the mug full of hot beverage. The heat from the mug and the steam from the beverage will make the center of the cookie warm and gooey, if you leave it there to your liking. I’ve had a lot of Mexican snacks but I’ve never tried Obleas, but based on how they look, the hot beverage thing is the first thing I’d try. I’ll have to find some in my area. Fun video, Kitra and Peter!
