Oh man, the entire time you two were asking "is this hot sauce" all I could do is scream at my monitor "YES, IT'S NOT WATER!!" LOL When we were growing up, my mom used to threaten to wash our mouth out with chili pepper water (sorta like how moms would threaten to wash your mouth out with soap). Loco moco was originally made on the Big Island when some surfers wanted a cheap meal because they couldn’t afford a Hamburger. The cook made a meal of whatever was still left at closing time. The original diner is still serving it today.

I absolutely love you guys!! a side note Im a bartender and I make my Mai Tais with Orange and Pineapple juice... However the original recipe for a Mai Tai is silver rum, lime juice, simple syrup (or triple sec) Orgeat or Amaretto for the almond flavor and a floater of dark rum, much different than most people think... I still like the orange and pineapple version though.

Thank you for pronouncing Kamehameha (Ka-me ha-me haaaaaaa) like Goku from Dragon Ball (Japanese for "Turtle Destruction Wave"). Kamehameha (Ka-meha-meha) was King of Hawaii. Every culture has their interpretation on sweet fried dough: Beignets, Malasadas, Donuts, Buñelos, Churros, Zeppoles, and they're all amazing done right and done fresh. Hopefully the world will reopen and I meet you in the wild back in California. You two are awesome.

Leonard's originals are our favorites too, and we've tried em all! Matsumoto's Shave Ice is great. Liliha bakery cocoa puffs are good too. And there's a little Korean BBQ place on Kuhio a couple of blocks in from Kapahulu that's also a great deal and really good food (the name escapes me...). This was a fun video to watch!

Great video! Makes me miss Hawaii and the food 😞. When I first had Loco Moco I did not care for it. But the next few times I had it I loved it! Peter’s reaction to drinking the chili pepper water made me LOL 😂

This was some very relatable,humble,sweet & honest reviews. I bet you were not the only tourist who made the same mistake lol it makes funny memories to look back on,also if you hadn't noticed when you're showing the blowhole the rock on the left looks like a natural hidden micky on it! Disney follows you everywhere lol!Great video! You guys looked like you were enjoying yourselves that's all that matters.
